Based in Limerick. Hi I'm Norma , I live breathe and eat travel! I have been in the business close on 26 years most of them based in Limerick while prior to that I worked as a rep in Majorca with Budget Travel - many moons ago! I live in Limerick City with my two children who also have the travel bug. I am an avid explorer and love seeing and getting to know new destinations. I have travelled extensively around the world and have a real passion for long haul and intricate places. However as a mom of two I also have the knowledge to help a family get exactly what they are looking for. Nothing make me happier than diving deep into that dream trip with customers. It would be very hard for me to pin down where would be my favourite place I have visited, I absolutely loved Malaysia it has everything from a bustling busy cosmopolitan capita; Kuala Lumpur to tranquil white beautiful beaches in Penang or Langkawi. In Europe I adore Italy and anything Italian, Venice is simply magical and can be so easily combined with family friendly areas outside the city, further down Rome is a must see and onto Sorrento which is mind blowing pretty and the fantastic island of Capri. Never be afraid to ask me, I have heard it all before and am delighted to help, so whether you are looking to travel to Bodrum or Bombay, Alaska or Adelaide give me a shout and we can dive in together! Whatever your holiday needs I'm here to help you, so simply give me a call or send me an email with your contact details on and I can get things started for you:. It is truly a unique city, with amazing history, beautiful architecture and so much to see and do. Should you wish to have less crowds off peak seasons from October to March tend to be slightly quieter and you may be able to avail of less expensive airfares and places to stay. As with most cities weekends are usually the busiest, so factor this into your plans. When we first arrived, we made our way along the small side streets to the amazing Saint Marks Square — If you wish to see the Basilica, I would say to prebook your tickets and make sure you are modestly covered when entering. There are a multitude of cafes in this area, and they do tend to be on the higher price end of the scale especially in the evenings once the magnificent musicians make an appearance; things can double and triple in cost! Rialto Bridge is one of the most infamous here and the crowds that gather will pass just as quick once they have secured the shots they are after. On the other side of this bridge, you will find a long-cobbled street selling everything from Venetian masks to Christmas ornaments and much more. I also took the ferry from Ponta Sabbino to the island of Burano — there are two islands you can visit Murano and Burano. Murano is widely known for its colourful glass, but Burano is by far my ultimate favourite of Italian islands. From the moment the ferry approaches your senses will be visually blown away with the array of pink, blue and purple houses each more delightful than the last. Burano to me it where one could find the love of their life; run down the side streets with flowers blowing in the wind and make your way onto a rustic boat to live happily ever after!!! I flew direct from Dublin to Toronto with Air Canada; the flight was lovely and comfortable, and the food onboard was yum. I stayed for 4 nights at the Delta Chelsea hotel in Toronto, this is a big hotel but has all the amenities you would need in a hotel and the location is fantastic it is literally just around the corner from the Eaton shopping centre which is a massive mall that features all your favourite brands over several floors, its right on Yonge Street which they say is the longest street in the world and lives exactly up to its name with an abundance of cafes, boutiques, bars, restaurants and live music venues. Toronto really gives you the feel of a big city in a small town, the vibe is chill, the people are arty and there is something cooler to see around every corner. The city is spilt up into neighbourhoods, my favourite being the hippest of them all Yorkville. I totally feel in love with its laid-back chic bars, eclectic art galleries and beautiful old Victorian houses that line the streets. We ate in a polished rooftop Italian called Trattoria Nervosa which was so delightful- I would recommend the Spaghetti Cacio E Pepe which is still dream of and try to emulate to this day. I spent two nights at the Fairmont Royal York which was like stepping back in time- This hotel was a firm favourite of the late Queen Elizabeth II and is still popular with celebrities to this day. This hotel is close to Union Station on Front Street West so its easily get to if you want to splash out on your last few nights here. We stayed in a junior one-bedroom suite on gold level which would have slept 4 people easily. The hotel has plenty of bars and restaurants and an afternoon tea that is world famous. From Toronto we took the 2-hour drive to reach Niagara Falls — we stopped in the most charming, adorable and if I am being honest the cutest place I had ever seen. It was a place called Niagara on the lake- this must village visit is bordered on both sides by water-its main street is like stepping back in time with framed streets among lush boulevard gardens. Once of its biggest attractions is a Christmas store that sell decorations and plays Christmas music all year round- I did not want to leave. We continue on to the Horseshoe falls which is about 20 kms away. Niagara Falls is located in Both Canada and the United States- There is a bridge connecting both sides called the rainbow bridge, some people like to go to get an American stamp on their passport. We booked to go on Maid of the mist which was very cool as it gets so close to the falls themselves and gets everyone super wet so be prepared. The Canadian side of Niagara is much more demure and classy in my opinion it still has casinos and fast food places but its definitely not a neon sign flashy as the US. At Dinner we were lucky enough to see the lights changing on the falls from their skyline restaurant. Niagara is something you can also do as a day trip from Toronto, if you are just planning to stay in Toronto and continue on around this amazing county. I can happily help you at anything we could add extra nights on the Rockey mountain mountaineer, explore Lake Louise, Vancouver or even the captivating Montreal. If you would like to learn more about any of the above, please call me. I had been to Krakow many times as for me, it is one of most beautiful cities in Europe. This time I decided I would bring my kids to the Christmas markets and snowboarding. We flew from Shannon to Krakow and spent 3 nights at the 5-star Queens Boutique hotel and from the moment you arrive you get the feeling of warmth and opulence. We had booked an annex room which was really big and perfect for us, with views and a Juliette balcony looking out onto the snow-covered streets. At that time of year, they also have a live nativity which was fantastic to see and ice sculptures designed for you to get a photo with. The horse drawn carriages are still in operation and provide blankets for customers to keep them cosy and warm. Another lovely touch is the restaurants operate what they call winter gardens still outside on the square with heating, blankets and areas that are partially covered. From Krakow you can do a trip to Auschwitz which I found harrowing, but necessary for me to experience. We had arranged a private driver to take us from Krakow to Zakopane and the journey was just under 2 hours, and we experienced the most beautiful winter scenery. We stayed 4 nights at the Radisson Blu Zakopane. The big plus with his hotel was that it had a heated pool that looked out onto the ski slopes, with floor to ceiling windows. The village of Zakopane is like something in a dream. The streets are lit by massive candles which just adds so much to the ambiance here. As you walk down a small main street that boasts bars and restaurants you will begin to see lights on Gubalowka Mountain where there is a cable car that brings you up. I would suggest going at night as the lights are illuminated and its magical. We hired a private snow board instructor for two days who provided us with the board, boots, and helmet, he was very patient and took us to a quieter slope to ensure we were safe. Also, Zakopane has some of the most amazing thermal spas in Europe called Chocholowskie Termy. This is only a short walk from the Radisson, again nighttime is fabulous for here with amazing photo opportunities. If this sounds like something you would be into, please contact me and I will be happy to go through options with you. The Land Down Under and Singapore I had the pleasure of flying business class on the direct route from Heathrow to Sydney this does stop in Singapore for a brief refuel, there is no need to disembark the aircraft. Qantas were phenomenal to fly with and the business cabin features super comfortable lie flat beds which has a massage feature — It was glorious! Food was also amazing. Landing in Sydney at night was breath taking with views of the Opera House shining brightly in the night sky along with the harbour bridge. Room was beautifully decorated with massive beds and a gorgeous jack and jill bathroom filled with luxury products. This area of Sydney has so much to offer with plenty of bars and restaurants as well as the Star Casino. My next two nights were spent at The Grace Hotel which was the cutest old charm building with lots of new and quirky features. The rooms were clean and spacious, and service was excellent. My room was utterly amazing with the most insane views of the Opera House. It was like a dream come true. Sydney as a city has so much to see and do for everyone, the world-famous Bondi Beach is only a short bus ride from the city centre. Keep in mind it does tend to be busy with tourists. Luna Park is another popular option for families here which offers an outdoor fun fair, big wheel as well as plenty of food vendors. I would suggest pre booking the likes of Luna Park or the Walk on top of Syndey Harbour Bridge to avoid disappointment. One of my favourite day trips was to the Blue Mountains where you will find the famous three sister peaks. This was such an experience and was as tranquil as it was exciting. You get to ride an old railway down along the mountain; not for the faint hearted. You can also take a cable car to walk the skyway. Rooms here do not feature TVs or Wi-Fi as they want you to be immersed in nature. The natural beauty here is something one can only imagine. It has such a wonderful array of flora and fauna, there are hikes for all age groups my personal favourite was the tree top walk which gives you a birds eye view over the rainforest below with bridges of over 16 metres above ground. There is so much to do here from hiking, waterfalls, segways, cycling trails, zip lining and bird shows. Food here was also immense and an added bonus is that they have their own local vineyard on site. We then made our way to Surfers Paradise which is the party capital of the gold coast and as with any busy tourist night life-oriented spot its crammed tight with bars, restaurants, and cafes along with plenty of surf shops and surf school. The jewel in the crown was next as we made our way to Noosa heads to get the river boat to Makepeace Island. This place is mesmerising and offers luxury accommodation set in stunning nature all while highlighting its Balinese design. We stayed in a villa which just blew my mind, with a suspended bed and a massive deck looking out onto the water. The island is eco-friendly ,so you can use bikes to get around, it offers everything you could think of for a luxury retreat including master classes in cooking for adults and children in lots of different cuisines. I found the food here delectable. There are not enough words for me to explain how much I loved it here and was so sad to leave. On our last night we stayed at W Brisbane which is in a fantastic location right on the river which is the beating heart of Brisbane. Rooms were a delight, and the view was spectacular. The breakfast here is amazing also. This hotel is only a short walk from the centre where you can indulge in all Brisbane has to offer from whale watching to wine tasting and stunning architecture. What stole my heart was Australia Zoo which is one of the most famous in the world. En route back home I spent one night in Singapore at the magnificent Raffles hotel which is famous colonial era building immersed in history. Rooms are amazing and offer a butler service. Afternoon tea is very popular here and I would advise to pre book whether staying here or not as it is an experience of a lifetime. It was here at the long bar that my love affair began with Singapore Slings!! This hotel is within easy access to the city centre. So whether you would like to see all the luxury Australia has to offer on a honeymoon or see the playful fun side with your family. I would love to help you arrange this trip. I flew from Dublin to Rome and after a quick minute drive to the Port of Civitavecchia where we first laid eyes on the outstanding Odyssey of the Seas. She is a huge ship, but boarding was stress free from check in at the cruise terminal to the first steps on board, everything went smoothly. Once you are onboard you have use of all the facilities on offer while waiting for your luggage, which is available outside your cabin after 4pm on the day of check in. We stayed in a balcony cabin on deck 11, cabin was spacious, and the balcony was huge and super safe for my two erratic children! I have had people ask me about taking balcony cabins with kids and I found them to be super safe with 5-foot reinforced glass. Once you set sail the party really starts onboard, you will find live music at the Lime and Coconut pool bars as well as a full parade and more acoustic pleasures on the Royal Esplanade. Shows onboard these ships are very popular so if you have your eye on a certain one I would suggest you pre-book it and this can be done in advance on the App on your phone. I would give the same advice for any speciality restaurants which you want to experience. You will need to pay extra for these, such as Wonderland which is a super cool concept with a wacky take on Alice in Wonderland with fantastic photo opportunities. The Teppanyaki is also an extremely popular on board where you can watch the chef create Asian dishes right at your table. The food in general was excellent, my kids loved the Mexican El Loco Fresh which is located near the pool so very handy along with Ice Cream stations and drinks fountains never far away. We took the drinks package, and I would suggest this to my customers, as the costs of drinks can be pricey. Mykonos we were tendered right across from the main town and beach, meaning you take a boat a short distance across the water to get to town. Santorini — the ship is again tendered at sea and it might be an idea to pre-book an excursion here or take a local boat to Oia. I do not have the words to describe the beauty that we saw when we rounded that first corner; it is what I would describe as heaven. The streets are calm and are dotted with cute boutiques, shops selling linen and buzzing bars and restaurants. Docking in Naples I knew I would have to have the excursion pre-booked before travel as they book up so quick. We chose to go to Sorrento with a guide and driving into Sorrento is like something from a movie with the beautiful flowers hanging on the narrow roads and all while you can see Vesuvius in the background. Sorrento itself is a charming, delightful town with plenty to do and its just oozes love and romance. Another option you can do as an excursion is Naples City and Pompeii. I loved this cruise, and it was my first time taking my children on a cruise ship as a single parent everything went so well and staff were beyond helpful. Should you wish to enquire about a cruise or just a trip to any of the above-mentioned areas, I would love to help you. The entrance to this property is an experience in itself as it boasts designer shops and Michelin star restaurants. My personal pinch me moment was the approach to the breath-taking outdoor reception area with the tranquil blue and green sea picture perfect behind it. It is a sight to be seen! The hotel is located directly on the beach and has numerous swimming pools as well as a plethora of other attractions for all age groups. The hotel has spectacular views of Diamond head which is believed to have been the residence of the Hawaiian goddess of fire Pele. It was created by a volcanic explosion many years ago and the park is a US National Natural moment and very popular for hikes. It has everything to offer from its famous North Shore beaches where world surf competitions are held, to its amazing scenery in this area where Jurassic Park was filmed. Added to this, the hustle and bustle of downtown Honolulu and the delicious and plentiful restaurants on the world renowned Waikiki Beach. Most people travelling to this area would stay around the Waikiki Beach area which is only a short drive from the airport. It has everything you would expect from a busy tourist centre, plenty of American shops and restaurants but also authentic bars. I would highly recommend having sunset food and cocktails in Duke Bar on the beach, which has a beautiful chilled South Pacific vibe. The island of Oahu is famous for the Pearl Harbour visitor centre. The area is still an operational active military base and one of the most visited sites on the islands. I would advise buying tickets in advance and going early in the morning as queues can be long and the sun gets stronger as the day progresses. Its may be familiar as it appears in the open scenes of Hawaii 5. There is so much to see and do on this island with plenty of day trips that I can happily pre book for you such as helicopter tours, swimming with sharks and sea turtles, learning to surf, wonderful waterfalls Lulumahu falls is my fave or spend an evening at a traditional Hawaiian Luau. Oahu will leave you with a deep love for the South Pacific. Barbados is everything you could imagine and more with its pristine soft white sandy beaches and glistening turquoise seas while adding the Bajan humour and a local rum to the mix it has all the ingredients for the trip of a lifetime. I stayed in St James at the Crystal Cove on an all-inclusive basis, the rooms are big and bright with stunning sea views, ours was actually on the beach and we woke each morning to hear the waves gently breaking. I had my then 3-year-old son in tow and there is so much to do for adults and children. For me, all-inclusive was the way to go in the Caribbean and the food is spectacular. The area of St James to also home to Sandy Lane, this is an exquisite property that exudes luxury and opulence. It does tend to be on the expensive side to stay here but I can also book you in for afternoon tea or dinner! If you fancy a break from relaxing by the pools or beach, Barbados has plenty to offer such as private catamaran trips to snorkel with turtles, a trip to the highly acclaimed Mount Gay rum factory where you can sample the local rum and learn all about how it is made. You can check out the flower forest in the botanic garden, I found this place to be soooo relaxing and super peaceful with the most colourful aromatic flowers on display and you can also stop for lunch here. At nighttime the area of St Lawrences Gap really comes to life with a quant little street facing out onto the sea, here you will find lots of bars, restaurants, shops, and live music venues. We ate at Mimosas Trattoria which has breath taking views out over the ocean. My personal favourite was the Friday night fish market in Oistins, this is an outdoor square area set against the sea, where live reggae music is played while different stalls offer all kinds of fried fish. The atmosphere here was truly one of the most memorable nights I have spent in the Caribbean, even with a hyper 3-year-old who insisted on dancing on stage! Everything about it was safe and welcoming. Barbados has something to offer everyone from old to young, from a quite chilled holiday to an activity packed trip and I would be thrilled to help you arrange your own personal holiday. My first impression of KL on arrival was just how spotlessly clean it was everything down to the roads were shiny and clean. Check in was pain-free and the rooms were spacious, with little touches left in each room such as chocolates, nighttime turn down service and each floor has its own butler. They offer a club lounge on the ground floor of the hotel where the staff could not do enough to help you. This lounge offers everything from breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktails, and canapes. The location of this hotel is a fantastic base to explore the city, and the pool area stays open until 11 at night to allow you to cool down on those balmy evenings. We visited the night markets at Jalan Alor where you will find street vendors selling everything from Scorpions to fish to chicken wings. There are also plenty of stalls selling popular branded goods. But I would suggest pre booking in advance as it fills up very quickly and it is a beautiful way to see the city. Kuala Lumpur is a safe city to walk around and is easily accessible with plenty of shopping like the massive mall that is Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Another nice area that has so much to offer for shopping to traditional dance and massage as well as food and drink would be BB Park Bukit Bintang. I loved this hotel from the moment I arrived and still have fond memories of same. Its location in directly on the most amazing beach in Penang called Batu Ferringhi. There is a sense of tradition here as it is set in the lushest gardens, yet still on the beach. I had a sea view room, and it was magnificent- Amenities in the hotel were top notch, food was of the highest standard. There is the cutest beach bar that nestles under trees with fairy lights. This is the most amazing spot for a sundowner after a day of relaxing. Again, there are plenty of excursions that I can pre book for you. We did two different temples one called Dhammikarama Burmese Temple which is in the capital George Town which is the only Burmese Buddist temple in the state. The gold and colours are a feast for the imagination, and I would suggest if you intended visiting temples to be mindful and make sure you have your shoulders and knees covered. We also went to see a Thai Buddhist temple again a feast for the senses. The Night market in little India is a must do with streets vendors selling the tastiest food. I really enjoyed my time in Malaysia and would be happy to help you plan your trip here and we could also add on another area like Langkawi or Lombok. As they say Malaysia is truly Asia! We flew directly from Dublin to Orlando with Aer Lingus; the flight was comfortable, and food was lovely. Upon arrival in Orlando, I had prebooked a transfer to take us to Coco Beach for our one-night pre cruise. Hotel is big and busy; room was large with a lovely view. The pool in this hotel is small but as its directly on the beach that makes up for it and most people would only be here for one night. The next morning, we got an Uber to the port as with other Royal Caribbean cruises we have been on check in at the cruise terminal was hassle free and done in a timely manner. Wonder of the seas is only 4 years old and she is part of the Oasis class ship which would be a larger ship type. Wonder will have you wondering how so many things are possible to do onboard a ship at sea. Food is incredible, again you have your specialities restaurants I would advise pre booking. This time we had a cabin on deck fourteen ocean view balcony the location of this was fantastic as my children were a year old and could go to the pool for a Starbucks or the activity centre and the cabin was only two floors down. Our first stop was Royal Caribbeans own exclusive island called Perfect Day Coco Cay in the Bahamas, as soon as the ship docks you will see an absolute paradise all while the ships blasts out Bill Withers Lovely day. Once you disembark you will immediately see the water park be careful as this is not included even though Royal Caribbean do own the Island, however your food is included here and if you have the drinks package your drinks are also included. There is plenty more to do on the island free of charge with the most amazing beach, water cabanas that can be rented out and the most adorable little pink water piggies. We had two stops in Mexico one in Cozumel where you can get a feel for real old Mexico with the most beautiful churches, murals of Santa Maria and nods to Dia De Los Muertos. We pre booked a glass bottom boat that took us out around ship wrecks which was phenomenal afterward we eat the most mouth watering tacos I have ever had in a restaurant that a local luchador mask had suggested we go to, the kids were delighted as it had a pool and swings under trees that was so non-descript from the outside. Our second day in Mexico was spent in Puerto Maya this centre is definitely built for cruise customers with an array of Tequilla stores, Mariachi bands all things fiestas. The final day at sea was in Roatan Honduras this little island was breath taking again with stalls selling fresh coconuts and snacks once you venture out of this area there are plenty of guides available to book tours if you wish, we went to a sloth sanctuary that also featured exotic Macay birds like Blu in the film Rio my daughter advised me. We had two sea days onboard which were great to get to use all the facilities onboard- Bear in mind that some things will get booked up quicker on sea days. Once back on US soil I had a driver arranged to bring us to Orlando we stayed 5 nights at Universals Endless Summer, hotel was a brilliant location with free shuttle buses to Universals parks, it had a massive pool which stayed upon up to eleven at night which was amazing for when got back from the parks. Having done Disney a few times before we opted for Universals parks, and particularly Harry Potter, there are two sections one in each park and there is a train that runs between each, its best to get to these as early as possible in the mornings as they are the most popular. The rides themselves were exciting and thrilling, in other parts of the parks such as The Simpsons or Minions the graphics and animation were truly spectacular. As expecting the parks have so much to offer both inside and out with City Walk that comes alive at night-time. No trip to Orlando would be complete without a spot of shopping and there are plenty of malls to chose from Florida Mall being the most popular if you hire a car Sawgrass Mills just outside of Miami is one of the best malls I have ever been too. For me, this trip was Immersive on board the cruise ship to exhilarating and thrilling at the theme parks. If you would like more information on any of the above, please get in touch.
