After dealing with several sub-par ski gloves in the past several years, I decided that it was time to spend a little more money on a pair of gloves and hopefully not have cold hands anymore. At the recommendation of a friend who climed Mt. Kilimanjaro using the OR Alti Gloves, I decided that if they were good enough for him at the top of one of the 7 summits, it would be good enough for my single digit ski days in New England. The construction of the glove is fantasic - they aren't heavy, but they certianly aren't lightweight. The gloves consist of 2 parts, the exterior shell, and then an interior liner (not pictured here...but the interior liner is a vibrant red color). The interior liner is just a softshell insulated glove that fits right into the shell glove and also has an interior pocket for a handwarmer for added warmth. The shell glove also has a light amount of insulation on it. There is a draw cord to cinch the gloves closed, and the gaultlet is adequatly long enough to cover over any jacket. The tightening band is easy enough to pull and release while wearing the gloves as well. The gloves are a little stiff at first, but do break in a little bit after wearing. They are thick gloves, but you still have good dexterity in using them (no issues with gripping my poles at all). The leather based palms offer good grip on anything you go to handle. Overall, I can't say enough good things about these gloves. I used them in single digit temperatures last weekend skiing in New England and I didn't even need a hand warmer to keep my hands warm - my hands actually started sweating at one point! Only thing that I could see adding to the glove would be the inclusion of a nose wipe on the thumb or forefinger, but it's not worth docking a star for that.

I was/am looking for a pair of clod weather trekking gloves. I ended up returning two sets of these after trying the mediums and the larges. I wear a large in almost all my other gloves - cycling, skiing, dress, etc. The large of this brand/model was enormous and I could not adjust my trekking poles anywhere close to being able to wear them and hold the poles. The mediums generally fit my palm fine, but the fingers were so short I felt like I was constantly trying to pull them on further. I have a fairly normal hand with, if anything, "not long" fingers so this was frustrating. Interestingly, the medium liner fit near perfectly. I really wanted to like these gloves but neither the medium nor the large fits adequately.

The inner glove fit great and can handle some water/snow, unlike a fleece inner glove on my other gloves from the same company. However, with the outer glove on, I couldn't grab the zipper on the tent fly. Tying my mountain boots was slow. Other activities around the camp suffered due to a lack of dexterity too.

These are my 2nd pair of OR Alti Gloves and I primarily use them for snowboarding trips. Based off of what I use them for I give them 5 stars. For being gloves, they keep my hands warm and dry. My original pair still is functional but they are showing signs of wear after 8 years of use. These gloves have been around for awhile so there are a lot of reviews for them already. Read the reviews and you will know these are great heavy weight gloves. If you want a pair of gloves that will keep your hands warm on the slopes then you won't be disappointed. If you want a pair of gloves that you can pick up a quarter from off of a table then keep looking. These gloves sacrifice dexterity for insulation but that should be expected for these type of gloves.

I live in North Dakota and have given these gloves a true test. I work out side 5 days a week in the clod for up to 5 or 6hr and have used them in -30 degree weather with high winds. In weather like this I always needed hand warmers but found them to not be necessary with these gloves. Because of the type of work I do I am required to take my hands in and out of the gloves quite often and have had trouble with the liners getting bunched. I am outside regardless of the weather, just finished a long shift in 30 degree weather, with light rain all night used gloves without liner and hands stayed dry and warm the whole shift. The true test will be when the -60 high wind with blowing snow nighs start.

Been wearing these for a second winter now, skiing and snowboarding in Crested Butte. The good - very well made bit of kits that will last a ling time. Waterproof and good fit. I tend to wear with removable liner taken out and pair of under gloves. With different (thinner) liners in the gloves work great below 0F. The not so good - not very warm with the liners in despite the thickness. I don't bother with the liners (wear other under gloves) as hands get cold anything below about 20F. Very bulky gloves so forget trying to pick your nose with these babies on.

I've always worn size large gloves without issue but these do not fit like other gloves I've worn (burton, dakine & etc). I can barely stuff my palm into these gloves yet I have more than a half inch of room left on the fingertips. The only way the gloves come close to fitting is with the liners on. Without the liners there's probably about an inch of space in the finger tips. I'm just under 6ft tall but it seems there were made for taller or longer people. On the positive side these the gloves are well made and when wearing the liners they are super warm, almost too warm in 0 degree F weather. Had I realized how big these gloves were without the liners, I would have returned them. On a side note, something inside the gloves stained the tips of my fingers black after using them without the liners. Going to hit up OR on that one.

Warm gloves for skiing on cold days in the 20s this season. Used the liners alone for some runs. Gloves are a little bulky when wearing with liners but comfortable. Don’t plan on using your phone with these gloves on but they will definitely keep your hands warm and dry. Pleased with my purchase. Wanted a good pair of gloves for not too much money and these hit the mark.

Super warm and built well

Size: Small Color: Charc/Natura Verified Purchase

These gloves are super warm and built very well. I haven't had a chance to use them but they look and feel heavy duty. Only issue could be that the dexterity doesn't feel very good. But that's just the trade-off for the warmth and flexibility (removable liners) it offers. Can't wait to use this during the winter (snowboarding, skiing, hiking).

Nice gloves. I am taking them to Antarctic and will let u know how they hold up
