They're taking selfies, getting naked, sunbaking, passing out and drinking loads of alcohol - welcome to Schoolies 2014.
Roughly 30,000 school leavers have flocked to Queensland's Gold Coast for the notorious week-long celebrations and many are documenting it all on social media for the world to see.
Teenagers from across Australia are taking to Facebook and Instagram to post their embarrassing and sometimes hilarious party antics, despite warnings they might regret it later on.

Social media sites have been set up specifically to share those awkward schoolies photos, with some asking for people to send in shots of themselves and their friends.
Facebook pages like Schoolies 2014 Exposed and Embarrassing Schoolies Photos are filled with photos of drunk young men and women, teens partying on hotel balconies and some even in compromising positions.
Support group Red Frogs spends the weeks leading up to Schoolies educating school leavers on the potential negative repercussions of sharing certain types of photos.
Despite warnings they might regret posting photos, Schoolies don't appear to be fazed or ashamed of their photos

These guys bragged on social media about trying to crash an official Schoolies events on the Gold Coast
Red Frogs gives out information on how to update your Facebook privacy settings in order to pre-approve photos before they're posted.
But it seems to have fallen on deaf ears for many partygoers if the social media hashtags are anything to go by.
Since Friday night there have been a total of 45 Schoolies arrested for street and drug offences.

My DD and I are often nude around the house and garden and just wondered anyone else, do you cover up when people call round, do you open the door nude? Christmas Eve a friend called round, 30 seconds after letting her out the door bell went, I thought it was her calling back, opened the door and there was a delivery driver, he turned around all embarrassed and muttered please put some clothes on. I think I lost my touch with men!!!

I saw FILM ONCE LIKE THAT BUT WITH A very DIFFERENT plot. O/H got proper turned on by it I was genuinely concerned that when the guy in the film left the washing machine wasn't mended - honest think it shows mean and women operate on different levels a lot of the time !!

I don't think it's odd being naked in the house, in front of your daughter or while sun bathing. It's the being in the nude to visitors and any poor soul that rings your door bell I don't get. But as I said each to their own.

Don't usually open the door nude but I did apologies , recall a time when men tried to get me out of my clothes
I think itvis very strange tbh. My kids have seen me naked, im amd out of shower etc but I think its VERY random/worng/weird to go about ur day and into ur garden and ANSWER your door😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨 NAKED!!!!!!!!!! Why am I the only one that thinks that is just plain wrong? ???😱😱😱

House is set at 20C, it is insulated from drafts but you get used to it also, we go out in winter with no coats on

I called a friend today to let her know I would be stopping by to pick up something. She told me to give her a few minutes so she could get dressed, as she was cleaning in the nude. I laughed and told her I would give her plenty of time, then asked where all the kids were. Well, they were home, a son,14 and a daughter, 11. She told me the three of them frequently walk around the house nude, although her husband and an older daughter don't.

I guess she picked up on my shock, because she told me her kids found it normal for her to clean that way, and it didn't bother them. I told her it seemed weird to be nude in front of her son, admittedly a late bloomer, who is just entering puberty.

I don't have a hang-up about nudity, as recently as this year I went to a nude beach. But, I wouldn't be comfortable walking around that way in front of my teens.

So, is this just my personal opinion, as she thinks, or is there a good reason to put clothes on in front of older kids?

I spend a lot of time in my boxers and Tee... but couldn't imagine doing cleaning in anything less.

Additionally, I don't live with kids, lol. I would never want to see my parents naked going about their business and agree with you that it is weird.

Somewhere between 5 and 10, prancing around naked should probably be stopped. But again, I don't have children and only came here to comment that I agree with you that it is weird.

That's weird, Mattie. We're not prudes here, but we certainly don't casually walk around nude. My children and husband walk around in their underwear, not all day but when they wake up and go to the kitchen or come/go from the bathroom. I wrap a towel around myself when leaving the bathroom and heading to the bedroom. If I'm caught dressing via someone walking into my room accidently, they turn their heads with an oops. I do the same if I accidently walk in when they are naked. We don't make a big deal about it, we just turn our heads. But in NO WAY are we walking around naked casually.

The thought of a parent literally cleaning in the nude around children that old is unsettling. It makes me think of how they always say it's the family members who children are in the greatest risk of being sexually molested by. I'm glad you spoke honestly and told her that you thought it was weird for her to do that in front of a son so old.

Yeah that is a bit strange. Dashing from bathroom to bedroom to get dressed- not strange.
Spending hours in the nude with teenage kids around- strange.
I would never do that!
And to be honest, I wouldn't feel very comfortable doing household chores in the nude...

There are entire communities of nudists, where people don't _just_ lay out naked on the beach; being unclothed is part of their lifestyle. Their kids are brought up this way, it is natural to them, the idea of wearing clothes in front of your own family and friends is weird to them.

There's nothing wrong with it, IF it is part of the lifestyle you raise your family in. I think that if the husband and daughter who -do- wear clothes in the house, have no problem with the wife and children who do -not- wear clothes in the house, then there's no problem. If either of the two are uncomfortable with the idea, then it is a problem.
When our children were growing up, we all wore a minimum of clothing around the house, but we never would go completely nude. Children in puberty are especially shy about new hair, new protuberances, etc. But our children felt entirely comfortable in their underwear around the house, or with big shirts or nightshirts thrown on to cover the 'important' parts.

We did however have aquaintances who were all-out nudists. They even went nude on their 12 acres of farm - which meant that their neighbors had very few parties. The aquaintances and all 5 of their children would be outside working, playing, etc. and had no qualms about leaning across the fence to talk to their neighbors. One of our associates mentioned that to visit their home was extremely uncomfortable - not because of the nudity, but because they did not follow the standard practice of placing towels, etc, where they sat on cushioned furniture. She thought that was particularly gross. (BTW, these were not attractive people; nothing you'd expect to see on a "reality" show.)

Their children were well-behaved and very quiet and polite - until their daughter came home pregnant at 14. Then they started to question their lifestyle and encouragement of their 60's style "freedom". "Free love" and "open lifestyle" sounds good until someone ends up paying for it...

Some things are weird but harmless. I would say this is one of those thing. I do think it's a bit strange, but not necessarily harmful.
Too much bending over during cleaning. That's just gross and creepy.
