Analysis:

This was not "wrong place at the wrong time." And it does not matter how "nice" the cops were acting: this is a police state. Meeting a description is not reasonable suspicion. Running is not reasonable suspicion.

So these kinds of lawless cops earn—and deserve—everything that comes with a police state, which is everything we are seeing now in policing: rampant misery among police, as demonstrated by huge rates among police of PTSD, divorce, addiction, suicide, etc.

The solution is simple: stop breaking the law. If your sergeant, lieutenant, chief, etc. tells you to break the law—don't.

"Just following orders" is not an excuse for following lawless orders. Those who "just follow orders"—and, in doing so, break their oath to the Constitution: they are traitors. When an ordinary citizen knowingly breaks the law, they are a criminal. But when a law enforcement officer knowingly breaks the law, they are not simply a criminal: they are a traitor.

Currently, USA's police state handles almost all traitors not criminally but rather administratively through internal affairs. This is 100% corruption.

Those who are, aid, or abet the police state deserve whatever they get. Most of it will be self-inflicted; some of it will not. All of it is earned—and deserved.
