Nadine Diederich was the first woman to become a World Champion in BMX. She was born in 1970 in Bavaria. Nadine was a BMX rider for almost 20 years, starting at the very beginning of her career, when she was just 13 years old. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles and became a professional rider in 1984. In the mid-1980s, Nadine started to compete in professional cycling. In 1985, Nadine became the first rider to win a stage in the Tour de France.
