Children's teenage years are supposed to be full of learning and laughter but one man has spoken of the unimaginable abuse he received at the hands of the person he trusted most - his mother.
'Hamish' who is now in his 50s, was 12 years old when his childhood innocence was taken away from him by his mum.
The woman who he described as 'mentally unwell' had sex with him one day when he was recovering from sickness.

'She had this big bedroom and if we were ever sick or anything like that we'd stay in her bed. One day she just initiated it, she just started touching me and it just went from there,' Hamish told news.com.au .
'She preyed on the fact I was coming into puberty and made me feel important and special.'
Hamish thought he had it all growing up, he lived in a wealthy suburb and went to a private school but all that meant nothing behind closed doors.
He suffered physical and mental abuse that has scarred him for life and was warned to not talk about the sexual abuse saying that he was told that 'people wouldn't understand'.
Hamish said that the abuse only stopped once his mother died when he was 15 but he has carried the scars of those awful three years for a lifetime.
The memories of his traumatic childhood were repressed and Hamish moved on and fell in love and got married in the early 90s.

'It's really hard to tell someone you love, "By the way, my mother abused me and I had sex with my mother",' he said.
Unfortunately for Hamish the secret took its toll on his relationship and he and his wife split three years ago after he had an affair.

On The Late Late Show With James Corden , Corden was playing a fun game of Face Your Mother. The idea of the game was James would ask the two young gentlemen a question, and they would have to guess what they think their mothers would answer. A fairly innocent game that took a super awkward turn when their sex lives became the focus.
It all started when Corden asked one of the guys, Merrick, what he thought was the biggest lie his mom ever told him. Merrick said it had to do with when he walked in on his mom having sex. When he asked what they were doing, they, apparently, responded, “Oh, we’re playing the sandwich game.” Merrick then added, “And the worst part is that they tried to hold up this lie. So what they would do is they would have me sit in the middle of the sandwich.” That last part, obviously, got a big reaction out of Corden and the crowd — but the awkwardness was just beginning.
The next question Corden asked was whether Merrick thought his mom had snooped in his room, to which he immediately replied, “I don’t know, but if she has, she found some crazy s***.” Corden, clearly, had to follow up on that, asking what Merrick was hiding in his room. Merrick hesitated to answer, but eventually, admitted to having collars and fuzzy handcuffs. When Corden asked Merrick’s mom what she thought when she found those items, she said, “I thought the collars were for the dog. And then the fuzzy handcuffs — I actually borrowed those for the weekend in Yosemite.”
The awkward sex talk ended when Corden asked Merrick which one of them had more notches on their bedpost. Merrick responded, “Mom … 200%.”

A 22-year-old man and his mother from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh have been facing a case in connection with the rape of a teen girl from Jaripatka in Nagpur, a police official said on Sunday.
The teen is part of an event management firm and had gone to Bhopal in May and had met accused Abhishek Kuril, who lured her into a relationship and raped her, the official said.
"The accused's mother Rajni (45) has also been booked as the two forced the girl to have physical relationships with other men as well, as per the complainant. He also uploaded her obscene photographs on social media after stealing her mobile phone," the official said.
The mother and son has been booked for rape, criminal intimidation and other offences and efforts were on to arrest them, the Jaripatka police station official said.

A Nebraska jury found a 38-year-old mom guilty Wednesday of sexually assaulting her daughter’s young friends after grooming them at booze-infused overnight parties.
Christina Greer, 38, allowed her 11-year-old to host sleepovers involving a half-dozen children, including the victims: two boys aged 12 and 13.
She was found guilty of three counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child, six counts of felony child abuse and two counts of witness tampering Wednesday. She was cleared of two other charges. Jurors spent three hours deliberating, according to Sarpy County prosecutors.
Between 2017 and 2018, Greer let the kids drink alcohol, consume marijuana-laced snacks and play drinking games, according to the Sarpy County District Attorney’s Office.
And then she had sex with the boys. 
Deputy Sarpy County Attorney Philip K. Kleine said that Greer’s daughter testified that she heard her mother and one of the boys in her bedroom and they were kissing.
And a teenage witness testified Greer’s daughter had said the boy was having sex with her mom at the time, Kleine said.
Then, when she became aware of a law enforcement investigation, Greer told the children to delete any evidence from their phones, according to prosecutors.
But investigators found explicit images of the mom on one victim's phone.
"We’re immensely pleased [with the verdict]," he said. "It’s been three years, a harrowing experience for the families, for the victims. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions. Just immensely proud of the victims in this case to be able to stay on course and still testify."
Greer's daughter also gave damning evidence to prosecutors in 2019, local media reported at the time.
Greer’s daughter said during a pretrial hearing that her mom had taken her to Walmart to buy margarita mix for one of the sleepovers and that she had poured drinks for the children, according to Kearny Hub , a local news outlet.
Greer faces a maximum of life in prison and a mandatory minimum of 45 years when she faces sentencing on April 19.
