With 25 weed shops in the city, plus another or so throughout the rest of the state and suburbs , the Land of Lincoln is in the midst of a serious bud boom, if you will. Order ahead or simply walk in to browse the wares: Just make sure to keep an eye on buying limits and other important details as they evolve. West Town When the folks behind one of the most prolific restaurant groups in the city branches into the world of dispensaries, you can rest assured your high is in good hands. Welcome to OKAY Cannabis , a cheery and casually cool new dispensary in West Town following a cannabis lounge in Wheeling , complete with food and drinks, and another in Evanston. Last year, the brand opened a dispensary in the city, stocked with a wide array of products and an always-dynamic lineup of new items. Goose Island A weed shop on Weed Street? This on-the-nose dispensary offers much more than fortuitous branding, though. The centrally located shop is one of several Illinois outposts, and it exclusively sells recreational items like edibles, vapes, and pre-rolls. With velvet-cushioned lounge chairs and other upscale amenities creating a posh vibe a step above the typical cookie-cutter dispensary, Ivy Hall manages to pull off the upscale aesthetic with nary a whiff of pretension. Speaking of whiffs, get a whiff of its product-strong catalog of stoner delights, from gummies and bongs to pre-rolls and orange pound cake shake. The majority Black and Latino-owned business boasts a massive product catalog with knowledgeable budtenders to help guide you through the madness. Jefferson Park Cannabist formerly Columbia Care recently added 1, square feet to its Jefferson Park outpost to keep up with growing demand. Cannabist also has a suburban location in Villa Park, plus spots in 10 additional states. West Loop, Pilsen, and Rogers Park This stylishly designed imprint of the publicly traded weed conglomerate Verano Holdings has popped up in an unexpected location in Greektown, providing a welcoming environment where both longtime stoners and curious newbies feel right at ease. River North This laid-back River North neighborhood outpost is one of four statewide Verilife locations from Chicago-based parent company PharmaCann with additional locations in Arlington Heights, Rosemont, and Romeoville. Lakeview and River North Sunnyside is the retail arm of Cresco Labs, the largest marijuana operator in Illinois and now the biggest weed company in the US. Two of its 10 Illinois locations call Chicago home, including the original Lakeview location, with its orange and white walls perched just steps from Wrigley Field. In , the company beat the competition as the first dispensary to bring weed to River North with its second Sunnyside in the downtown district. Peddling one of the largest selections on the market fueled by premium grow facilities, consider this one-stop shopping for all things cannabis. The sharp Andersonville outpost showcases welcoming touches like a soothing nature motif complemented by tasteful sketch art. Ah, remember those days? Light one up and reminisce. Getting in on the action closer to downtown, Dispensary 33 also mans a second spot in the buzzy West Loop. The company followed that up by purchasing Midway Dispensary, and opening its latest location in Tinley Park, bringing its Chicago-area fleet up to four stores three in the city and one in Chicago Ridge. Maribis is known to regularly post deals and specials on Leafly , and the company also operates additional locations in Westchester and Springfield, so make sure to stop by after your next class field trip. Located just over the border from Indiana, the shop brings in plenty of out-of-staters as well as devoted locals stocking up on everything from tablets and tonics to water pipes and lotions in a clean, judgment-free space that claims to have some of the lowest prices in Cook County. Mission operates six dispensaries throughout three states, with a second Illinois location in nearby Calumet City. Consume also operates suburban locations in St. Charles and Oakbrook Terrace two of six in the state. West Loop This cozy hideaway features quite a bounty for a store of its size, stocking a stout selection of items ranging from chocolate-dipped pretzels and GMO vapes to—believe it or not—a pretty sweet purple leather rolling tray in case you want to add a more royal flair to your next smoke sesh. Clybourn Corridor Formerly known as NuMed, this laid-back spot even offers gift cards perfect for that hard-to-shop-for stoner friend. Want more Thrillist? Skip to main content Chicago Travel Cities. Suggest an edit. Chicago, IL We are proud to offer the best patient experience in IL! Ask a question. No, they do not deliver. River north doesn't either. The answer with a phone number is a scam. Do not call it, it is not associated with Ascend. Quick, simple, and the stuff was pretty good. I heard it can get crazy there sometimes but it was empty when I showed up. Quick process from start to finish. I do with the kiosks had more options though. Place is a joke. Debit machines will be down every other week and there's always at least 1 of the 2 only ATM machines in the building broken at any given time. Line takes forever and in part because every single medical member is given seniority status to skip the entire line. Unlike other dispensaries that have separate lines for different patron needs, this place continues to not be organized in any capacity. Really sucks to wait 45 mins for an order that should take max. I've seen downtown dispensaries packed but this is a nightmare period. They are somewhat reasonable with the rewards system so thats the only reason this isnt a 1 star, What pisses me off is the fact that there will be a big line and you got those people behind the register who insist on having a 10 min convo with each customer rather than just checking out and leaving. Why make everyone wait that much longer. Also the wait is so long that medical just constantly inturrupts the recreational line which makes everyone wait that much longer. Theres good times to come, but who wants to wait more than 1 hour. Someone here's pocketing cash, things don't seem very upkept or organized behind the counter. Not to mention this is the ONLY dispensary ive visited as a med patient to cap a first time buysers discount saying it doesnt apply to already on sale items. After that i decided this location wasnt for me theur sales are underwhelming qhen co. Fast forward a couple weeks and they then send me a 'we miss you' 10 dollars off purchases over No fine print. Can I add an edible not on sale Love Moca! Best med discovery in town: When you have a medical card the line moves fast. Love the deal too. Best prices in Chicago. The system here is completely fucked. They let walk-ins off the street go ahead of people who scheduled appointments. I was 15 min early for my pm appointment I made online I was turned away. In the mean time 7 people off the street went ahead of me. The security guard was very rude. For how much money this cost, the experience should be a pleasure. Also, their website is a joke. High school students could do a better job. It has adds for their own company constantly interrupting the ordering process. Site is very confusing. Asked the same info 3 times. I will never come here again. SunnySide Dispensary is much faster and organized, plus the SunnySide website isn't trash. Update: Moca hasn't improved since getting bought by Ascend; in fact, they've probably gotten worse. Go to any other dispensary in the city. They are all x better. I always have to give myself a pep talk before coming to Moca, as I know the experience is going to take awhile and something will go wrong. I am a medical patient, and started using Moca several months ago. At first, I really loved it as they by far have the largest selection out of all dispensaries in the city. However, the changes they have made recently definitely prioritize recreational customers. First off, even with a scheduled pick up time, anticipate waiting at least 30 minutes to get your order. You will have to wait in line to get inside, then wait again when you are actually inside to be called to get your product. In addition, the way they call people up to get their order makes no sense. Every time I'm there people that came in after me get their order before me. I have complained on numerous occasions about this, and I'm always told my concerns will be addressed by management as I wanted to try and get this fixed before leaving a bad review - but then I come for my next visit and experience the same thing. The final straw for me was a visit I had yesterday. They now round up or down on your total because they don't want to give you change- which is understandable- except rounding UP is not legal. I shouldn't have to pay more because you don't want to give out change. I'm in the process of figuring out what dispensary I am going to change to- and if you're a medical patient, you probably should to. It seems like they are a pop up shop. Rough space. Tons of employees and they seem to be turning a lot of transactions but the space has an abandoned warehouse vibe to it with a lot of unmarked doors. People were helpful and friendly but not so efficient. But my biggest gripe is they put my goods in a heavy duty plastic bag that they taped shut. Had to destroy the bag to get the goods out. Super bad for the environment bro. There's no need to tape everything shut! Go paper and make your space more inviting. Ascend Cannabis Dispensary - Logan Square. Zen Leaf - Pilsen. Serious Session.
