Mikasa is an iconic character in modern anime. Check out how these awesome cosplayers brought her character to life!
Hajime Isayama's hit anime/manga series Attack on Titan is an action-horror series, in which oversized humanoids (the Titans) are determined to storm humanity's last city and devour everyone inside. Hero Eren Jaeger, along with his friends Armin and Mikasa, answers the call of duty to fight off these giant horrors. And the plot only gets thicker from there.
Attack on Titan has given us some of our favorite action scenes and characters of the last decade of anime, and there's plenty of cosplayers who feel that way, too! Popular characters like Eren, Mikasa, and Levi are popular for cosplay work, and today, we're going to check out ten dedicated cosplayers who bring Mikasa Ackerman to life. Let's see what they can do!
We begin the list with Mikasa's more playful side. True, this poor girl has endured all kinds of trauma, and more than anything, she is a fantastically skilled Scout warrior and Eren's personal bodyguard. Still, it's nice to see her girly side, and she's simply adorable here.
Mikasa is in her Scout duds, and that uniform looks wonderfully authentic in detail. The wig and scarf really stand out, and the gentle background is just right for a cosplay like this.
In this next picture, we meet Mikasa in some street clothes, though the Scouts logo is sewn onto the sleeve. The main characters of an anime are often seen in just a few different outfits, often school or military uniforms, so it's a nice break to see them in other clothes.
Mikasa has a subtle look here, with a black leather jacket and a dark red shirt under that. She's not the type to go around in frilly gowns or anything flashy like that, at least not while in character. Mikasa is more pragmatic and tough, and we like the focused and mysterious air of this cosplay.
Now this is an unexpected treat! For the most part, a cosplay photo is an all-in-one shot, and there is nothing wrong with that. But once in a while, as we see here, cosplay can be arranged like panels of the original manga, and what an effect it is!
We meet Mikasa in a forest setting, which is accurate to the anime (trees are great for the ODM gear). Mikasa isn't here to play games: she's got a stern expression on, and then she raises that scarf into place, like a mask. That close-up in the second "panel" is an especially great shot.
Now Mikasa is in action, and this cosplay is right on point from top to bottom. Not only that, but the camera work is superb, and this totally feels like a well-drawn panel from the manga series. We get another rustic forest setting, as per the manga, and that uniform looks like it's made from high-quality material for sure.
The cosplayer also sports a heavy-duty set of holsters for spare blades, and they seriously look like the real thing. A stern expression and fine wig round out this cosplay, and there's even a warhead detonation effect at the bottom to show us that it's time for ACTION!
Mikasa doesn't often have occasion to smile, and we all dearly hope that someday, she and Eren and Armin can create a peaceful world where they can take it easy and smile and laugh. We think they've earned it by now.
In this shot, Mikasa is looking pretty proud of a battle well fought, and that autumn setting sets this cosplay apart from sone of the others. And check out how this cosplay Mikasa has her blade casually over her shoulder... things must be looking up!
Is it Halloween already? How the time flies! Okay, it's January as of this writing, but we've got to say, this Mikasa cosplay shot is pretty creative. Mikasa must feel so powerless at times, whenever Eren gets captured or a city falls to the monstrous Titans.
A part of Mikasa must yearn to have it all, and create a world where she always gets her way. So, to match Attack on Titan 's horror vibes, why not picture her as some elegant, gothic aristocrat, complete with a cool chair and a spooky chandelier? Mikasa has never looked so smug, and it's a breath of fresh air.
First Halloween, now Christmas? Mikasa is really touring the calendar! Now, we're treated to a lovely cosplay of Mikasa in a Santa Claus-inspired version of the Scouts outfit, and it looks great on her. And not just because the red color matches her scarf (though that helps).
All those white lights in the back are classy but not garish, and Mikasa's colorful light necklace is adorable on her. But what's most intriguing is her look... as if to say "this place is nice, but it's not the same without you, Eren." A fine touch!
We resume the forest-based cosplays, and we've got another winner. This cosplayer's uniform is impeccably detailed, and this time around, we're sure that thing is made of false leather for a tough military look. The Scouts sure have a nice budget!
Mikasa is looking into the distance, and she looks concerned. Perhaps Eren, Armin, and Jean rushed ahead to confront danger while Mikasa hangs back, and she's concerned for her friends. It's nice to see this slightly vulnerable side to Mikasa, to show how well rounded a character she is. Mikasa isn't just a Titan slayer... she's a girl who dearly loves her friends.
S0metimes, Mikasa is a tough fighter who takes the lead, and other times, she shows her more vulnerable side. She's the whole package. In this cosplay, we get something in between, where Mikasa has been casually hanging out, waiting for someone.
This cosplayer gives us a look like "Oh. hey there," while still waiting, a bit aloof. She doesn't look cold or hostile, though, and it's a fine balance. That outfit, the fine wig, and the expression come together for a well-balanced and expressive Mikasa cosplay for sure.
Okay, it's time for the last cosplay... whoa! A horse! Now that's resourceful, and goodness knows the Scouts ride into action on horseback whenever they can. This cosplayer really took things to the next level with that horse.
We also get a charming autumn setting, and we like Mikasa's calm "reporting for duty, sir" look. This something straight out of the anime, and it's a job well done.

Attack on Titan is one of our favourite anime action scenes, and many cosplayers feel the same way. Cosplay is a popular way to portray characters such as Levi, Eren, and Mikasa. Today, we will be looking at ten dedicated cosplayers that bring mikasa cosplay Ackerman alive. Let’s see how they do it!
The list begins with Mikasa’s playful side. This poor girl has suffered a lot of trauma. But, more than anything, she’s a highly skilled Scout Red Leggings warrior and Eren’s personal bodyguard. It’s still nice to see her feminine side. She’s just adorable.
Mikasa’s cosplay is done in Scout uniforms. The detail on that uniform is amazing. The cosplay is made more interesting by the wig and scarf than it is by the gentle background.
The next photo shows mikasa in street clothes. However, the Scouts logo has been sewn to the sleeves. It’s rare to see the main characters in anime in more than one outfit, such as school uniforms or military uniforms. So it’s nice to see them in different clothes.
Here, mikasa’s cosplay is subtle. She wears a black leather jacket with a dark red shirt underneath. At least, she’s not one to wear flashy gowns and frilly dresses while in character. We like the focus and mystery of mikasa’s cosplay. It is more practical and tough.
This is a surprise treat! A cosplay photo can be taken as a single shot. This is fine for the most part. Sometimes, however, cosplay can be set up like the original manga panels.
We meet mikasa in cosplay in a forest setting. This is very accurate to anime (trees are great as ODM gear). Mikasa cosplay doesn’t play games. She has a serious expression and then raises her scarf like a mask. The close-up of the second panel is a great shot.
Now, mikasa cosplay has begun. This cosplay is on point from bottom to top. This panel feels exactly like the manga’s well-drawn panels. As per the manga, we get another forest setting. The uniform looks high-quality and it certainly seems like it is made of high-quality material.
A set of heavy-duty holsters is also worn by the cosplayer for extra blades. They look just like the real deal. This cosplay features a stern expression and a fine wig. There’s even an effect of warhead detonation at the bottom for us to take action!
We all hope that mikasa cosplay and Armin will one day create a peaceful place where they can smile and laugh together. We believe they have earned it.
