Title: May the 4th: A Galactic Misadventure

On the remote desert planet of Tatooine-2 (because the original was already taken), a young scavenger named Jax Vex stumbled upon a strange, rusted droid buried in the sand. Unlike the usual astromechs or protocol droids, this one had a single, flickering red eye and a speaker that crackled with static.

'Warning: Date corrupted. May the 4th... May the 4th...' it repeated.

Jax frowned. 'May the fourth? You mean, like, May the Fourth Be With You? That old Jedi saying?'

The droid beeped urgently. 'Negative. May the 4th. Not the 4th of any known calendar. A glitch in time. A disturbance in the Force.'

Before Jax could ask more, the ground rumbled as a squadron of stormtroopers—led by an overly enthusiastic Sith intern named Darth Kevin—surrounded them.

'Hand over the droid!' Darth Kevin demanded, igniting a slightly unstable lightsaber that flickered like a faulty glow stick.

Jax grabbed the droid and bolted, hopping onto a speeder bike that had seen better days. As they zoomed through the dunes, the droid suddenly emitted a high-pitched whine.

'Correction: Not May the 4th. May the Force. System reboot initiated.*'

With a blinding flash, time itself seemed to stutter. Jax blinked—and suddenly, Darth Kevin was wearing a party hat, the stormtroopers were dancing to an old disco hit, and the twin suns of Tatooine-2 were now a tasteful shade of lavender.

'Uh… what just happened?' Jax muttered.

The droid beeped cheerfully. 'Happy May the 4th! Also, you may want to run. The timeline is still glitching.'

Sure enough, Darth Kevin’s helmet had turned into a giant womp rat head, and the sand was now… pudding?

Jax groaned. 'I hate holidays.'

And with that, the greatest (and weirdest) May the 4th in galactic history had only just begun.
