These levels are further subdivided in two parts; the first part of the course is marked as normal (e.g. A1.2), and the follow-up course is marked with a + (e.g. A1.2+). This way we can make sure that you have enough time to cover all the important content. The structure for our evening courses looks like this:

For many of our students, language classes are just one part of an already busy schedule. Their daytimes are full with jobs or other occupations like studying, so it’s by taking Evening Classes German training is still possible – and more importantly manageable!
With typically two classes a week, students are sure to make steady progress without the training impacting on their day to day too much.
So maybe you’re working full time or perhaps you’re just more of a night owl…? Either way do be sure to come and talk to us about Evening Classes German.
German training has always been the mainstay of speakeasy’s work, since its founding in 2011. It’s what we built our reputation on doing and today we are proud of the team we have built up of world-class German teachers who provide Evening Classes German (as well as intensive and private courses).
We offer Evening Classes German for students of all levels, from A1, i.e. beginner, right through to C1, advanced. What’s more, our reputation for German courses has led to a high enough demand that we are normally able to offer courses at two different times in the evening: 18.00-19.30 & 19.45-21.15.
So there is really no excuse for not brushing up your German, is there…?!
If you’re taking Evening Classes German should feel very manageable alongside all the other important things in your life. You’ll still find yourself making good progress week by week and you’ll definitely notice the effect on your German soon after you have settled into the course.
On speakeasy’s Evening Classes German lessons are twice a week typically, which means you cover 16 teaching hours per month. This means you can complete language levels A1, A2 or B1 in around 4 months per level.
Of course if things feel too slow for you, just come talk to us about moving onto a different course – like our weekly or intensive courses. Or, if you’re busy daytimes, we can combine two evening classes for you. Rest assured all our German courses are planned so that we can easily move you around and fit you into the right level on a monthly basis.
Booking Evening Classes German is easy and you can pay monthly or weekly – it’s up to you.
Like with all our other classes, with our Evening Classes German we offer a simple, no-nonsense pricing structure. And you will find there are no hidden costs – besides your course, you only pay for what you need, e.g. your course books. You can find more information regarding our course book prices at the desired section of our FAQs.

Our Evening Classes German adhere to the Common European Framework language levels A1 (beginner level) through to C1 (advanced)

In our level summary, you can see where you currently stand and how to continue in the next months!
You know you want to learn German, but you wonder what the letters A, B and C mean? It’s simple: They tell you how advanced your knowledge of a foreign language already is. Generally, A means it’s the beginner level, B means it’s intermediate and C indicates the advanced level – but it’s a fluent passage between the levels. In accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, we at speakeasy group our courses into these different levels.
To make sure that you have enough time to cover and practice all the relevant vocabulary, grammar and useful phrases, our evening courses with two appointments per week follow this structure:
As you can see, the letter and the first two digits indicate the general level, e.g. A1.1 or A1.2. What is special with the evening courses is that they have another subdivision: The first course and the following course. This following course is marked by a +. Especially in the beginner levels, we recommend that you only take a + course after you have taken the first course. Both courses are necessary to complete the level.

For physical classes, please bring along a face mask. You will have to wear it all time. In addition to this, in our classrooms we have adjusted the seating order in a way that guarantees the minimum distance of 1,50m on every side. The amount of participants in the class depends on the classroom and varies between min. 4 and max. 14 persons. Thanks to this security measure you can take off your mask once you’re seated in the classroom! Please follow our hygiene concept during your stay at speakeasy.
We implemented the following new measures in the school:
We continue to offer online courses which you can also sign up for online. The online courses take place in a virtual classroom. You will receive your log in details per email after your registration. Our online courses are available in different course formats: The Online Intensive course takes place on four days per week; the online evening course gives you two nights of lessons per week. True to our speakeasy motto, our online courses are just as interactive and focused on communication as our courses with physical attendance.
