The Hunt Intensifies
Kathleen (Melanie Lynskey), consumed by vengeance for her brother’s death, rallies her remaining soldiers. In a chilling monologue, she reveals that Henry (Lamar Johnson) wasn’t just a deserter—he was the one who turned her brother over to FEDRA before the uprising. Her obsession with finding him blurs the line between justice and bloodlust.

Meanwhile, Joel and Ellie press forward, only to realize they’re being tracked. The tension builds as unseen figures move in the shadows—Clickers. But something’s different. These infected seem… coordinated.

Henry and Sam Enter the Fray
In a desperate bid for survival, Henry and his younger brother Sam (Keivonn Woodard) ambush Joel and Ellie, holding them at gunpoint. A standoff ensues, but when a swarm of infected suddenly descends, the four are forced into an uneasy alliance. They barricade themselves inside an old apartment building as the horde surrounds them.

Whispers in the Walls
As night falls, strange noises echo through the vents—whispers, scratching, inhuman clicking. Ellie, unable to sleep, notices Sam sketching in his notebook. The two bond over comic books, offering a rare moment of warmth. But when Sam quietly asks Ellie, 'Do you think the infected dream?' the question lingers like a ghost.

Joel and Henry, meanwhile, exchange wary glances. Henry confesses that he betrayed Kathleen’s brother to protect Sam—a choice that weighs on him. Joel, in a rare moment of vulnerability, admits, 'Kids… they make you do stupid things.'

The Escape and a Shocking Revelation
At dawn, they make a break for it, fighting through infected with brutal efficiency. Just as they reach a sewer tunnel, Kathleen’s men ambush them. A firefight erupts, and in the chaos, Sam is bitten—but he hides it.

The episode ends with the group narrowly escaping into the tunnels, unaware of Sam’s secret. As the camera lingers on his trembling hands, the screen cuts to black.
