Q: Is my device supported by MiuiMiX?

A: Check the SUPPORTED DEVICES STATUS. Keep in mind that the official MiuiMiX ROMs are the one released in the OFFICIAL CHANNEL.

Q: What is MiuiMiX? What is the difference with Xiaomi.eu?

A: MiuiMiX is a custom MIUI based on xiaomi.eu and china beta. Differences are:

  • Optimizations for better smoothness and battery life
  • Debloat (cleaner app is one of these)
  • Preinstalled Magisk
  • All roms globalization
  • System app installation directly from stock app installer (note: app extracted from china roms can give errors during installation)
  • Preinstalled MiLauncher on POCO roms
  • Apps icons with transparency and that follow the icon that you see on PlayStore
  • 4k 30fps videos, pro video and RAW photos on stock camera app [lavender]
  • 90Hz refresh rate selection from within the settings [venus, alioth/aliothin, gauguin, phoenix/phoenixin, picasso, vayu]
  • Flashable zip files a little bit smaller
  • All roms are tested before releasing

Q: How can I check if an update is available?

A: You can check on the official channel or with the updater app preinstalled in the rom (from the 20.8.13 weekly). The updater will send you a notification when a new version is available, so you have to only wait the notification.

Q: Changelog?

A: Almost the same as EU/China. Even if the changelog is the similar, MiuiMiX and EU aren't the same thing, so don't ask for problems or howtodo or other things related only to EU. You can view the changelog of the latest weekly HERE

Q: How to install it? What is needed?

A: Only the ROM file is needed, no Magisk, no GApps, no firmware and no vendor, all of this is inside. Make sure to follow the INSTALLATION GUIDE

Q: I can't install the fastboot rom, what i have to do?

A: Follow the installation guide, check the drivers (on Windows you can use MMX-FastDrive) and try changing USB cable/USB port.

Q: I flashed the zip file but the phone is in bootloop/fastboot/stuck, what i have to do?

A: Follow the installation guide mentioned above STEP by STEP and CAREFULLY. It can be useful to flash the MMX-ASA flashable zip. It can be useful to check the downloaded file checksum with the one present in the download pages; if the checksum is different redownload the file.

Q: What are the differences between stable and weekly?

A: The weeklies are betas that are released every week (usually on friday and weekend), they have all the latest features but they can present some bugs or some drain (they are still betas!). Isn't mandatory to install every weekly. The stables are more stable (as the name says) and they don't have the latest features; they are released every 30-40 days. All the updates depend from the Xiaomi releases, so they can experience some delays or reschedules due to Xiaomi.

Q: Can I update Magisk version?

A: No, you have to stay in the built-in Magisk version. If you update you can cause bootloop (a dirty flash will fix it)

Q: I installed the ROM correctly but Magisk Manager won't open/is not present, do I have to flash Magisk again?

A: No, Magisk and Magisk Manager apk are not the same. To use Magisk Manager just reinstall manually the apk, you can find it HERE.

Q: An app says that my device is rooted/not secure, what to do?

A: In roms with magisk version ≤23 you have to open Magisk Manager>shield icon on the bottom>Magisk Hide and select the app that gives problems (if you don't have the Magisk Hide option just go in Magisk Manager>Settings (top right icon) and enable Magisk Hide). In roms with magisk version ≥23015 you have to open Magisk Manager>Settings (top right icon), then enable Zygisk and the "Enforce DenyList" and check the app that gives problems in the "Configure DenyList". Now delete data and cache of the app that gives problems and reboot. If this doesn't solve go in Magisk Manager>Settings (top right icon) and click on "Hide magisk app", then press ok (if you can't hide the manager try enabling "install from usb" from the developer options). Now delete data and cache of the app and reboot.

Q: Play store says "device not certified" or SafetyNet fails

A: Select Google Play Services in Magisk Hide or in Zygisk Denylist then clear data and cache of Play Store and reboot (see previous answer for more detailed steps).

Q: Why the cleaner/clean app is not working?

A: Cleanmaster was removed from miuimix from the 20.8.6 version for privacy, security and battery. If you can't live without it you can download from apkmirror

Q: An error with "Permissions keep stopping" always come out. How can i solve this?

A: Go in Settings>apps>manage apps>(if you haven't already click on the three dots in the top right and click "Show all apps") search for "Permissions" app>clear data and cache

Q: Does MiuiMiX supports custom kernel?

A: We can't tell it for every device. Just try it, if you bootloop or have any problems don't blame the ROM, just dirty flash the ROM again and all will be good.

Q: I have some problems/bugs, what to do?

A: All MiuiMiX ROMs are tested before release, so no major bugs. If you encounter problems first of all disable all Magisk modules and/or revert all the mods you made (maybe you need to dirty flash the ROM). If you have a custom kernel unistall it (by dirty flashing the ROM or by restoring a backup), as they are often the cause of problems. You can even try the MMX-ASA flashable zip, just flash it and reboot, that can fix some problems like random app names, apps crashing, glitches and more.
If you use an Android 11 roms and have problems (app crashing, storage problems) make sure you have dual apps disabled, they still don't work on Android 11.
