A Reluctant Bond Strengthens
Picking up after their violent encounter with Kathleen’s militia in Kansas City, Joel and Ellie continue their journey toward Wyoming. The episode opens with a rare moment of levity as Ellie mocks Joel’s aging reflexes—until they stumble upon an abandoned school, forcing them into another fight for survival.
Their dynamic shifts subtly as Joel, still grieving the loss of Tess, begins to soften toward Ellie, teaching her how to handle a rifle. But trust remains scarce—when Ellie questions Joel about his past, he shuts her down, hinting at the darkness he carries.
The Hunters Close In
