We just got back from our kauai babymoon in Hawaii! It was absolutely magical and we didn’t want to leave!!! TBH We are conspiring on how we can move there in the next few years but until then, we will just bookmark this vacation under dreamy and look back on these photos often!
This little getaway was special in more ways than one…Not only is it the first time we have traveled in over a year because of the pandemic but it is also the last vacation we will take without a little one in tow. We also got to spend time with Leo’s twin brother who we haven’t seen in over a year which was so nice!
We obviously wanted to relax but this was also Leo’s first time to the islands and we wanted to make the most of the five days! Here is a little recap of our trip with details of where we stayed, ate, adventured and lounged!

The restaurant is vast and open all year . Children are not a problem. Wise to try and secure a reservation although everyone i saw arriving had not booked.

I was a little concerned before we went having read reviews mentioning rude staff. The two people that served us were lovely. Fun, friendly and attentive.

I’m pretty sure this place inspired Brasserie Zedel in London which is one of our favourite restaurants. The atmosphere... is lively and the Art Deco setting beautiful.

Food is well presented and reasonably priced. We had cockles and winkles to start, then a starter and main each and shared a dessert. We matched a wine by the glass with each course and it all came to less than €200 which I thought was pretty decent value.

The French onion soup was probably the highlight but the signature curried lamb was also fantastic.

Can’t really fault it, though some live music would have been nice. More
Excellent fresh oysters and crevettes roses to start with. They managed to tempt us with a casserol of great moussels. For dessert a great and large creme brulee as usual. Service was of high quality. It was a hot day in Paris, so we were... seated on a terrace.

The food was delicious and well served by a nice and polite waiter.
There is a good choice for anyone loving oysters, shellfish and seafood.
We had the beef filet, sole meunière and lobster raviolis and all our dishes were cooked to perfection.

Went there on our first night in Paris. We had a decent meal there the last time we were in the city of lights. This time, our experience was very different. The food sucks! We ordered half a crab. It was filled with innards and... very little meat. We also ordered their famous lamb curry. The meat tasted like it was days old. Some were very dry and some were all fat. Disgusting food. Will never return. More

Based on other reviews I’m sure I am going to sound like “one of those people”. Firstly the food was average, not great not bad, on a comparable basis expensive €175 for one entree, two mains, one dessert and one bottle of wine. The service... was beyond dreadful - the restaurant was basically empty with most staff standing around chatting, I can excuse poor service when the restaurant is full but when it is empty it is inexcusable! I’d given it a wide berth there are much better places around. More

Pricey but well worth it.
The food was out standing.
Our waiter was the best.
In fact all the waiters were very friendly and were having fun while they worked.
They were taking pictures and photo bombing.
Menu was in... French and English.
Our waiter said , when we were first seated, I'm going to take your whole order now.
I will bring you the first course. After that I will not bother you again until you wave or tell me your ready for next course.

First off, its a wonderful art deco room, oozing history. The staff and service were excellent. Its jus a pity, that for me, the food didn't live up to the surroundings. I started with a perfectly acceptable but unremarkable piece of pate en croute. Followed... this with skate wings with sauce
