Julien Baker Cancels Remaining Tour Dates Due to Health Concerns

Nashville, TN — May 5, 2025

Indie rock singer-songwriter Julien Baker has announced the cancellation of her remaining tour dates, citing health concerns. The 29-year-old artist shared the news in a heartfelt statement on social media, expressing her regret but emphasizing the need to prioritize her well-being.

'It’s with a heavy heart that I have to cancel the rest of my tour,' Baker wrote. 'After pushing through the last few shows, it’s become clear that I need to take time to focus on my health. I’m so sorry to let anyone down—performing these songs and seeing your faces every night has been the greatest gift. Thank you for understanding.'

The tour, in support of her critically acclaimed 2024 album Fault Lines, was set to run through late May, with stops in major cities including Chicago, Toronto, and New York. Refunds for canceled shows will be available at the point of purchase.

Fans quickly flooded Baker’s posts with supportive messages, many sharing their appreciation for her honesty and urging her to take the time she needs. Baker, known for her emotionally raw lyrics and powerful live performances, has been open in the past about her struggles with mental health and physical exhaustion.

No further details about Baker’s condition have been released, but representatives confirmed she plans to step back from touring for the foreseeable future. Promoters hinted at possible rescheduled dates in 2026, pending her recovery.

This marks Baker’s first major tour cancellation since her breakout in the mid-2010s. Her last album, Fault Lines, was praised for its introspective songwriting and has been a fan favorite on the road.
