An award-winning make-up artist has revealed what porn stars really look like under their daily mask of foundation, mascara, and eyeliner.
Melissa 'Makeup' Murphy released before and after photos of 93 porn stars to showcase her body of work.
They reveal the adult movie performers' blotchy skin, oily foreheads, untamed hair and pale complexions - to the shock of some men and praise of many women.

One bewildered male commenter wrote of the au natural images, which Ms Murphy posted on her Instagram and Twitter : 'Outside of a couple of exceptions these girls are all beasts without the makeup.'
Women have been quick to come to the porn stars' defense, however.
One Gawker commenter wrote: 'I love these. I'm not sure about the guys who think porn stars just magically appear from sea foam inside a clam shell (looking sexy), but for what it's worth, this kind of rocks.'

Transformation: One woman, who goes by the stage name Darryl Hanah, looks relatively ordinary before her make-up - but once it has been applied, she looks every inch the porn star
The porn stars, of varying degrees of fame, have focused on the 'after' images on their own social media accounts, rather than drawing attention to the 'before'.
'A lot of people look at porn stars and assume they are constantly in eyeliner and a push-up bra'
Cassandra Nix tweeted to Ms Murphy: 'Thanks for making me all pretty,' while Dani Daniels wrote: '@XmelissamakeupX you made me puuuurdy! :) thank you!'
Some thoughtful comments have suggested that seeing porn stars, 'who are often objectified and dehumanized,' without their heavy make-up is an easy and effective way to humanize them.
Unrecognizable: Jessica Mor's is one of the most extraordinary makeovers. Like many women, she has an uneven skin tone which looks particularly raw around the mouth - but with make-up she look sensational

'A lot of people look at porn stars and assume they are in a constant state of eyeliner and push-up bra, that they were born that way as the "lucky women" and that they couldn't possibly look like - or be - someone's sister or mom,' one woman named Annie wrote on the community web blog MetaFilter.
'Also, a lot of guys seem to go around thinking there's this big difference between "average" women and the Super Hot, which in a lot of cases is more about dedication than genes (makeup, clothing, breast enhancements).
'I think it's always better when we realize that Hot People are actually dimensional people with identities and relationships, which to me is the difference between finding someone attractive/sexy and truly objectifying them.'

Actress / Model Janet Leigh left behind a legacy that will always remain close to horror fans hearts. Known as the poster lady for 1960’s movie Psycho, it is remarkable seeing that her role in that film was very brief (but yet still impactful). Janet Leigh would live a life of countless movie releases adding to her contribution to the film world.
She would also bring a striking beauty to the screen that was unmatched for her era. I first fell in love with this lady in 1953’s film “Houdini”, a film that would lead to her off screen romance with other lead, Tony Curtis. Often toting one of the pointiest bras on screen (no really, check out the shots), Janet was hard not to notice. She of course would grant us another gift in horror with her offspring actress/daughter, Jamie Lee Curtis.
Over the years Janet Leigh practiced diversity through a range of film styles that include: drama, comedy, musical, horror, and even the occasional action movie.
The photos we have gathered take us decades back ranging from the 1920’s to present. Janet would of course leave us in 2004 at the age of 77, however we have her work and photography sessions to remember her by. A remarkably stunning talented lady, Janet Leigh was among the greats! I had a great time drumming up these shots.
