A new game has started!
Together with some of the top players, we decided to reset the game. Everyone who played the first game, from April 2021 to February 2025, will be remembered as a pioneer.
Pioneers who geared up during the last game will receive a special badge to commemorate their experience!
With this upgrade, the game received a few changes to the overall economy.

Economy Inflation, based on Shop Chain salaries!

Pay higher salaries, and the inflation will grow!
High Economy Inflation will give you various bonuses on minigames:
- Ore Miner: Higher max damage for the hammer
- Investment Plan: Higher (or lower, on deflation!) investment amount options, to invest more per click
- Coinopoly: higher prizes on using extra dice (and higher dice usage!), and higher building prices, levels and prizes!
- Global Steel Road: higher prices and prizes on the Market, and higher investment per click on Factories!
The inflation amount is based both on the absolute value of the salaries and on the growth. To keep inflation high, grow salaries slowly!

Seasonal Squash
Every new season, all players will see a reduction of their resources, so to bring them closer to each others, as a starting point for the new seasonal challenge.
The first Squash will happen on New Year's day!

You keep all resources until the value written in the "Kept" column.
Then you also get Extra resources, so not everything goes to waste
You still keep:
- All your Houses on the Coinopoly board
- All your Factories in Global Steel Road Factories
- All your items in Global Steel Road Market
- All your Shops in Shop Chain
- All your Mystery Items (including the prizes for the first three captains!)
The update also brings an important change to the Flea Market

Gear Max Update

The only limitation is that you will stay in your faction during the whole process.
Other changes in this update:
- 5 new supergear emojis! It's a secret, let's find out together!
- Coinopoly nerf: money prices and prizes are based on your base production, without the gear multiplier, so that the effects are less explosive at higher gears.
- Open all mysterious items with one click!
More changes are planned for the near future, to avoid having to do the same actions over and over, in all places where I feel it's useful.

Shop Chain Update

Unlocked at Gear 3!
This new minigame-like feature brings in a new challenge for factions, as long as another reason to stay in one faction over time!

Pay your employees' wage every 4 hours, and gain blocks based on where your shops are
The blocks you get depend on the number of shops and employees, but they are also affected by the wage compared to your faction!
Note that shops you open are permanent!
As for employees, you can't decrease them either, they might automatically decrease in a future update if you pay them a low wage.

Season Challenge Update

1 year after the start of the Season Challenge, in its 4th edition, we can safely say that there was basically no challenge at all! Different players with greatly different wealth just got positioned based on that existing wealth. That's why a change was needed and here it is!
Taxed blocks won't be lost, up to 10k blocks for each level upgraded. A portion of them will be put in your faction market storage, and others will go to the market of the faction that is currently last in the challenge.
Tax tiers are as follows, and are applied on each upgrade separately:
- Blocks up to 10: no tax
- After that, up to 30: 30% tax, taxed blocks go to self market
- up to 60: 50% tax, taxed blocks go to self market
- up to 100: 75% tax, taxed blocks in this tier go to last faction market
- up to 1000: 90% tax, this tier also puts blocks in the last faction market
- up to 10000: 99% tax, same as above
- over that: 100%, and these taxed blocks are lost
In total, a maximum of 229 points can be done at one level, a maximum of 21 of them go to your own faction market storage, and the remaining blocks up to 9750 go to the last faction market storage.
However, if your faction is not the first one, there's a pity system in place so that a portion of the taxed blocks are also converted in points, based on the ratio between your faction points and the first one!

Big Tweaks update!

Minigame updates:
- Daily News: base prizes are based on player production and increase linearly by number of players who voted.
- Coinopoly: crypto prices, crypto selling and Storehouses prices are all based on player production.
- Global Steel Road Market: prices and prizes now also based on player production (with a minimum value)

Keeping in mind that some of the money received at a station pass for every factory is given to the market of that landowner's faction, these two systems together should help put the market towards values that make sense for the current state of the economy.

Heavy nerf to IP Instant

IP Instant let you invest as much as your money allow, but in one fixed company every turn.
Turn times depend on your faction ranking as always.

Global Steel Road Factories update

You also get notified when somebody gets your factory!
This comes with 3 extra balance changes:
- Factories deteriorate of 1/10 when passing by
- Your investments are incremented with a multiplier from 1 to 10, based on your current factory value(if you have one in that city!)
- You can now invest to factories with a value up to 10 times the current minimum
Additionally, the "invisible hand" is now a lot slower, as it only happens with a 5% chance per section every 5 minutes (previously it was 50%).

A multiplier is still in place, but it's linear: I'm on gear 193, so I have x20.3
Formula is:
