The MCS AlexClimb iceclimbing master class will be of interest to everyone who is mobile and active, loves outdoor adventure and is ready to test himself in a new, extreme and exciting winter sport.

The iceclimbing gift lesson is organized in such a way as to give participants a detailed understanding of the essence of iceclimbing, its role in mountaineering technique, general technical and tactical techniques for climbing and providing belay on the ice.

Cost of a gift certificate for an iceclimbing master class at MCS AlexClimb School season 2024:

• Gift certificate for an iceclimbing master class (4 people in a group) - 12,000 rubles.
• Gift certificate for an iceclimbing master class (2 people in a group) - 30,000 rubles.

Master Class on iceclimbing at the MCS AlexClimb Climbing School is a full-fledged training session, with a trip to a real outdoor iceclimbing wall (ice object).

The iceclimbing master class includes a full introductory instruction in the theory, tactics and practical techniques of iceclimbing, with a trainer demonstrating the basic elements of the moves, and teaching basic techniques for iceclimbing and securing belays.

The iceclimbing master class is held exclusively in winter season, in real natural conditions, at air temperatures from 0 to -12°C.

On the condition that the ice facility is safe for climbing.

The iceclimbing gift certificate is issued digitally and can be printed. We do not provide paper certificates for the 2024 season.

Group iceclimbing lessons with a trainer are carried out strictly if there is a group of 4 people and suitable weather conditions:

— from January 20 to March 8, on weekends: 8:00 - 16:00. The location depends on seasonal conditions and the availability of ice facilities.

The duration of the iceclimbing lesson is 3 hours excluding travel time to the climbing site.

The cost of rental of climbing and belay equipment is included in the price of the gift certificate.

Lesson plan of "MCS AlexClimb Outdoor Iceclimbing Master class":

• Meeting at the agreed meeting place, introducing with the trainer
• Transfer to the location of the iceclimbing lesson
• Safety instruction
• Introductory lecture on the theory and practice of iceclimbing, with a demonstration by the trainer of the basic elements and techniques of climbing on the ice.
• Top rope belay technique training
• Iceclimbing under the supervision of a trainer
• Lunch (hot tea/coffee + lunchbox)
• Return transfer to the Moscow Ring Road or the nearest metro station

During the iceclimbing lesson, participants are provided with the following equipment:

• Iceclimbing helmet with face protection
• Safety system
• Petzl Gri-Gri belay device
• Ice climbing tools (ice axes)
• Crampons with soft fastening (can be attached to any winter shoes with hard soles)
• Fasteners (lanyards) for ice axes
• Knee pads

Conditions for ice climbing classes at MCS AlexClimb School

• Mandatory pre-registration for iceclimbing lesson
• Classes are held at specially equipped locations for iceclimbing. Participants are offered a transfer from the gathering place in Moscow to the iceclimbing lesson site and back to the Moscow Ring Road or the nearest metro station (self-transfer is possible)
• Group iceclimbing lessons with a trainer are held strictly if there is a group of 4 people and suitable weather conditions from January 20 to March 8, on weekends from 8:00 to 16:00.
• No more than 4 people per trainer can participate in an iceclimbing lesson (unless there are other agreements or restrictions at the training location).
• Age limit for participation in iceclimbing lessons - participants must be at least 18 years old
• Participants in iceclimbing lessons must have warm, non-restrictive sportswear and strong, hard-soled shoes.

Conditions for canceling and postponing the iceclimbing classes at MCS AlexClimb School.

A purchased certificate for an Ice Climbing Master Class cannot be exchanged or returned, and its value is not refunded in the event of loss or failure of a participant to show up at the appointed time of the lesson.

After registering the certificate, the date of the lesson is fixed - we reserve a place in the schedule for you - this is done for your comfort and effectiveness of the lesson.

Changing the date and time of an iceclimbing lesson is possible by agreement with the School Administrator, no later than 48 hours from the confirmed time of the lesson.

Extension of the iceclimbing lesson in case of your arriving late is possible only if the coach has free time and a space in the group. If you fail to show up at the confirmed class time without prior cancellation, the gift certificate is no longer valid and no refund will be made.

ATTENTION!

The organizer undertakes to do everything possible to conduct an iceclimbing lesson at a time convenient for you, however, cannot guarantee that the lesson will take place on certain dates. The decision is made immediately before the date of the planned lesson and depends on the weather conditions and the condition of the ice facility.

Climbing on ice (iceclimbing) is a potentially dangerous activity due to the fact that the structure of the ice cannot be guaranteed to be strong. And also due to the fact that sharp objects such as crampons and ice axes are used during the activity.

We fully ensure the technical safety of iceclimbing training associated with being at height. But we do not take any responsibility for injuries and damage associated with falling and breaking of the ice, or the use of sharp elements of equipment - crampons and ice axes.
