Every

Bufford

Hinker Boys' Auction. Well, they had a parrot there that a rich lady was
selling, and Bufford kindly took a likin' to the critter. When the auctioneer
brought the bird around for bidding, Bufford asked him, "Charlie, kin that parrot
really talk?" Charley Hinker assured Bufford it could talk and was real
smart.
Well,
the bidding commenced, and Bufford jumped right in and stayed at it all the way.
Several folks were bidding, but when the bids hit about $300, it settled
down to a real mean contest between Bufford and someone at the front of the room.
Bufford finally won the bid at $500 even, though he looked a bit pained
as he walked to the auction office to pay for the thing. When he got ready
to pay, Bufford again asked the auctioneer, "Are you sure that parrot kin really
talk Charlie?"
Charlie
said, "Bufford, I know that parrot kin talk real well on account of how it was
the parrot that was the one bidding against you."

We are your official source for property assessments and exemption information. Our knowledgeable staff takes pride in our
ability to offer you the most accurate and up-to-date statutory guidelines with all of your assessment, exemption, appeal and
any other property tax information and concerns.

Assessment Notices will be mailed out on August 8th, 2022 .

Any changes of assessments will also be published in local newspapers on August 10th and 11th, 2022. To view the publication schedule,
which indicates what local newspaper will be publishing assessment changes in your township, please click on the link below.

The 2022 Board of Review will begin accepting appeal submissions after the publication of assessment change notices on August 10th, 2022 .

At that time, our office highly recommends submitting your appeal using the Will County Board of Review Appeal Portal at
borappeals.willcountysoa.com .

Those who would like to submit an appeal will have until September 12th, 2022 to do so. After that deadline has passed, no further appeal submissions will be considered.

If you have questions or concerns regarding the assessed value of your property, it is beneficial to first contact your local Township Assessor.
Many issues may be resolved with a quick call or meeting.

It doesn't hurt to reach out with a call or e-mail. Many Township Assessors will schedule appointments for in-person meetings as well.
