Surprise, Surprise ! One of my 6 packages seemed a wee bit light. factory sealed ... weighed in at 8 ounces, not 12. Is this the new ' shrinkflation ' ? Hoepfully this is a one-off. I'll be watching the next subscription delivery. SS ( This 'complaint' NOT for publication, just for AMZN and Bear Naked knowledge. )

Always fresh and a good ratio of fruit and nuts to oat mix. Very good with yogurt and fruit.

Buy 12 bag a at a time. Great price, great product.

Our favorite

By Carol M. Ahlers on August 26, 2022

None of the six bags we received in our box include clusters of any kind, but rather grains of oats and everything else that is included in the fruit and nut blend. Having this in small doses such as in a little cup for a snack, a topping for yogurt, ice cream, or mixed into plain cooked oatmeal, it is okay but sometimes you only get the oats and a residual fruit or nut bit. It's not granola that we select for pouring in a bowl with some milk. We're at the point of saving the majority of oats in a jar in the refrigerator for use in bread dough because the texture when it's free of the fruit or nuts is unappealing. It is not a winner in this household but it's not so bad that it won't eventually be consumed. EDIT: I've raised my rating because by transferring the bag contents into a jar, we have discovered that you can shake it before consuming and get a better mix of the blended ingredients. The lack of overpowering sweetness also is a definite positive. It's been growing on me and I personally now rather like the granola a lot with milk, either cow or almond. It's chewy and doesn't get soggy in the bowl.

Love the flavor of this added to a cup of yogurt every morning.

I like granola that isn’t stuck in huge clumps doused with some sugary syrup. I dislike puffed rice in granola. This granola meets both criteria. The freeze-dried fruit, although generously sprinkled throughout, is kind of boring, but a good sprinkling of Cherry Republic dried cherries or almost any providers’ cranberries and some chunks of fresh apple makes up for that.

Need help finding fruits and nuts in nature? There's no better guide than a bear. Want a companion to share their Fruit and Nut Granola, with Non-GMO project verified whole grain oats, honey, almonds, coconut, raisins, dried cranberries, pecans, and walnuts? You should probably ask a human. We're just going to come out with it. Bears make the decisions around here; They pick out the ingredients, create new flavors, and taste-test every batch of granola we make. Nothing goes out the door before it gets their bear stamp of approval. Now you may be thinking, why? Employing wild, unpredictable animals seems like a terrible business plan. Sure, we admit sometimes things can get a little awkward, like when the company picnic is BYOB (bring your own bees). But the truth is, the bears keep us honest. Their instincts always point them to the highest quality foods found in the wild.
Kelly Flatley and Brendan Synnott, who became friends at age 11 while attending Middlesex Middle School in Darien, CT, are the business partners behind Bear Naked all-natural breakfast foods. Kelly first developed Bear Naked’s original fruit-and-nut granola formula in July 2002 by baking whole ingredients in her parents’ kitchen and tweaking the recipe until it was perfect. She then labeled the concoction "Bear Naked" and started selling it at sidewalk sales and a couple of local markets. Her granola was plainly packaged in a clear plastic bag and hand-tied with a piece of hay. A month later, Brendan, on hiatus from his role as a talent manager for Saturday Night Live , started joining Kelly in the kitchen, the two cooking all through the night and selling their granola by day. In October 2002, Brendan and Kelly decided to move forward as business partners and Bear Naked was born. Over the next few months, the company really began to grow, and by the end of 2004, Bear Naked was distributing its products to more than 2,000 retailers in 25 states with 20 full-time employees. By August 2005, Bear Naked was the country's fastest-growing natural cereal brand, with the number one and number two selling granola products in the nation. The next month, Kelly, Brendan, and the entire Bear Naked team traveled to Washington, D.C., in their signature Bear Naked vans to launch a new line of breakfast products to retailers at the Natural Products Expo East. With an eye-catching display and abounding energy, the new Low-Sugar Cereals, All-Natural Oatmeal, and Hot Cereals debuted to rave reviews. Today, Bear Naked breakfast products can be found at retailers nationwide.
And why the name "Bear Naked"? It simply reflects that the company's ingredients are all-natural and barely processed. In their words: "With our love for the outdoors and active lifestyles, our whole grain foods fuel our energy. When hiking we were thinking of names and thought 'hungry as a bear.' Thus "Bear Naked" was coined. Plus, it is very catchy."

Loveeeee this granola, I'm a sucker for the chocolate chunks

One of my favorite gluten-free granolas. It's great as is for a snack, mixed with yogurt and as a cereal. My 11 year old, who is also GF, doesn't like this one as much because- even though it's not too strong of a taste - she notices the small amount of ginger in it... and she doesn't like ginger.

This granola is tasty, crunchy and satisfying! I could use less bits of cacao but overall it's good. I usually eat it in my yogurt (often with dried blueberries). I'd rather try a new flavor after this bag empties, but I like Bear Naked Granola. It's a good company with high quality granola.

Crunchy & Satisfying

The only way this product could be better is: 1. Organic 2. Unsweetened (for diabetes/prediabetes) 3. Low sodium

This is the only cereal I eat. I do not like soggy cereal, and this granola stays crunchy until I eat the last bite. Great taste. I like the fact that it contains seeds and cashews. It does have a few drawbacks, though. It has WAY TOO MANY chocolate pieces. I now take the time to remove between 80 - 100 pieces of chocolate from each bowl I eat. The effort is worth it because the cereal itself is so good. The other problem is it's sometimes not fresh. I can plan on purchasing a "less than fresh" bag several times a month. I buy a lot - 4 to 5 bag each grocery run. The bags are small, so you don't get a lot of bowls out of it.

Bear Naked always a great bargain. My favorite flavor is peanut butter. I could polish the entire bag in one sitting. I wasn’t that keen on this chocolate or cashew flavors. I’m not a big chocolate fan, I know gasp right? I’m prone to kidney stones and chocolate is high in oxalates, so it’s a “forbidden fruit” if you want to avoid an excruciating excursion with stones. You can’t beat the price for granola, it’s not craft granola, but it’s a flavorful hearty snack or breakfast for a small price point.

Nice favorable snack: Not too sweet....
