How to connect and configure a crypto wallet to play Cryptosnake

In our chats, new players often ask about how to connect a crypto wallet, how to choose the right network, how to sign a contract, and so on. Therefore, we decided to make a special guide.

Step 1: Create a cryptocurrency wallet and buy SNK tokens

Note: SNK tokens must be purchased anyway. Without them, you will not be able to buy a snake egg, which means you will not be able to access the game. All the functionality of the game is available only with a snake. Accordingly, without having SNK tokens at the start, you will not be able to play, use artifacts, or trade on the marketplace.

We have already written about this in a separate instruction.

Follow the steps described in the guide for buying SNK tokens and return to this instruction.

Step 2: Make sure the wallet is ready

All of the following points must be observed:

• The extension is displayed in your browser
• The Binance Smart Chain network is selected, and this is the main network (not testnet).
• The wallet displays SNK, BNB and BUSD coins
• You have enough BNB / BUSD to pay the transaction fee. We advise you to have at least a few tens of dollars in cryptocurrency equivalent in stock.

You may need to change account, change network, or import tokens. We advise you to return to the instructions "How to buy SNK", to which we have already given a link. Pay special attention to Step 2 (Create and fund a cryptocurrency wallet). It shows how to prepare a crypto wallet for the game.

Note: We are working on optimizing the game for different types of wallets, but for now we recommend using Metamask, as it is most compatible with Cryptosnake.

Step 3: Connect the wallet to the game

This is the easiest step. If you already have a pre-configured wallet, this shouldn't be difficult.

Go to app.cryptosnake.game

If you are new to the site, you will be offered to buy a snake — Buy and Earn. However, first we need to connect the wallet. Without it, the big green button won't work. So click Connect Wallet.

Since you have already had experience with a cryptocurrency wallet when purchasing SNK tokens, we believe that you can easily connect a wallet. Just click Next on the wallet pop-up window.

Then click Sign to confirm.

That's all. You have linked your wallet to the game. Then you just have to confirm the actions in the pop-up tabs. The wallet window will pop up when you buy a snake, when you replenish your balance, after playing in the arena, when selling NFT, and so on.

Any action affecting the blockchain will require confirmation through the wallet — and each time a commission will be charged. Usually, the commission does not exceed a dollar.

FAQ

Here is a solution to common issues that are often reported to our tech support.

Question: Why does the wallet require such a high commission (up to 0.5 BNB)?

Answer: Such a high commission can be requested in two cases:

1) The smart contract has not been signed. To fix this, re-connect the wallet and update the site.

2) Too little BNB on the wallet balance. In this case, you just need to replenish the balance — and the commission will become normal.

Question: Why am I not allowed to confirm the action in the wallet?

Answer: The most common reason is the lack of funds to pay the transaction fees. Top up your wallet by sending BNB or BUSD to it in the amount of several tens of dollars — this should be enough for a long time.

Question: Why can't I connect my wallet with my phone?

Answer: This is due to Google and Apple policy. Corporations are wary of cryptocurrencies, so they often block such actions.

We recommend playing Cryptosnake from your computer. If you still need to log in from your phone, use the built-in Metamask browser. You can open it through the wallet application.

Question: Why do I write "(test)" when confirming a transaction?

Answer: You have incorrectly connected to the network. Instead of the main network, you chose the test network. You need to go back to the network settings and connect to the main network. Here's what you need to enter:

• Network Name: Smart Chain
• New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
• ChainID: 56
• Symbol: BNB
• Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com

Question: Why can't I connect from my wallet (not Metamask)?

Answer: Perhaps we have not yet adapted the game for your wallet. For now, we recommend using Metamask.

Question: Why are purchased NFTs not displayed in my wallet?

Answer: Game NFTs are not displayed in most wallets — there is nothing to worry about. You can check the presence of NFT on the wallet balance in the game itself by going to the Dashboard.
