How We Built a Fren Movement: The Power of the Rosary

🦦 The Holy League 🦦
Rosary for the Youth of Spain

We have begun our journey to accomplish our goals we set out two years ago when we wrote How To Build a Fren Movement: The Funnel Theory. In the previous article, we explained how and why we should be open and introduce ourselves to the wider public in real life, to stop being so anchored, so afraid and sectarian in our internet groups or in our niche groups, by doing so through a tiered system approach to our neighbours, for all kinds of people, to start a movement based on friendship, common values and principles to face today’s challenges.

While the theory was broadly applicable for every group, in this case we will explain how we have implemented the theory per tier in a Catholic way. Here, we will explain all of this from our experience and from the point of view of an active lay person, if you want the religious explanation read the Secret of the Rosary by Saint Louis de Montfort on how the Rosary is a great weapon against the devil, a fountain of graces and blessing which here we can see its fruits.

We have started to reach the goals in these tiers :

-Tier 1. Rosary for The Youth of Spain

-Tier 2 . Male Rosary in Spain and other countries.

-Tier 3. Various activities for group cohesion.

Tier 1

For Tier 1: Activities which can target the Mainstream Society, by Mainstream we mean, in this case, the Catholic Novus Ordo Society, typical parishes, volunteering, university clubs, who aren’t as conservative as we might like etc.. For this we wanted something which panders to the lowest common denominator, so praying the rosary for the Spanish youth was a great way to find that common denominator for all groups, so we can all pray united despite the differences we may have.

Our group of Traditional Catholics helped to organize a procession with the second Rosary for The Youth of Spain. We attracted about 4,000 attendees in the center of Madrid on the night of 27 February 2022, the police confirmed there were at least 3,000 of us, which gave a good testimony to this secular society which rejects God.

The first Rosary for The Youth of Spain was prior to the pandemic, in 2019. This was done with a small normie group that was poorly organized, it became large by God's will. Some of the attendees inspired us to organize the second march and helped us to do so in the years since to quick-start it again. We sought out one person from every normie group we knew to help us to promote the event in their groups, this helped our network grow. We tried to keep a good amount of traditional people to maintain a balance, outwardly we were just a mixed group of youth groups, there was no need to show our traditional ways directly, the point of all of this is to avoid sectarianism or group politics, better to unite all of us under one banner.

To be open about who could help us in the organization gave us a lot of benefits, by learning the know-how of their organizations, gaining contacts they have in the normie sphere and to also grow in confidence and befriending them, you end up knowing and becoming close with people who really want to do something, which is way more positive than people who are similar to you but, far less inclined to commit themselves towards action, yeah it won't be as perfect as you would like because of mainstream demands but the benefits will outweigh the negative aspects.

When our youth group prayed the rosary, we did the texts between the mysteries; we added latin chants between the conventional chants, this was without a doubt a win. Thanks to our Priest and some of the ‌organizers, we found great contacts throughout Catholic newspapers. This made things easier to set up regarding marketing & advertising. Meanwhile, on Twitter we asked for small donations to fund our audio equipment. The main problem of this was having good quality audio, as there were many crowds of people moving in the streets, this part was complicated. The rest, however, was simple enough.

Thanks to God, this was a success, we attracted thousands of people and gave Glory to God, for assisting us in reconquering the streets.

Tier 2

Male Rosary in Madrid

Tier 2 : Mainstream Gatekeeping, here we talk about activities which can target the mainstream conservative parishes and groups, but for one reason or other, the typical mainstream won't be attracted to this.

Following the example of Poland, we organized a Male-only Rosary in Madrid last April. We attracted about 300-400 people. Now, thanks to God, many Catholic countries have followed our humble example and organized themselves similarly. For Lepanto, this 8 of October, we are coordinating with 15 countries and several cities to host the same simultaneous event at the time of writing this article.

[We are interested in helping others to organize these events in more countries and cities, if you are interested contact @despertarferro on Telegram, it's easy to set up, ]

After the experience and contacts gained with the rosary youth group, we organized male rosaries, in this case the organization was fully traditional because this time, the scope was much smaller, we gained hundreds of people and after that, drinking together led to friendships, in this example we do it every month,

The message in these male rosaries is far more robust and direct than the youth prayer, focusing on masculinity and on the issues of men in the faith and in society. Through this activity, there is good potential to give the reverence that Christ deserves in the streets, as the King of Kings, also to grow a group out of this if God wills it. Let's pray that in the feast of Lepanto, we can bring many people into the lines of this christian militia.

In order to reach the mainstream, it is better to hold a large event, one which can be held at least once a year, in this case for devout conservative people, they won't mind going every month to pray the rosary in public, these kinds of events are a balance between attracting new people and growing in cohesion with regular participants.

These activities are also an opportunity to forge together all the different traditional and neoconservative factions, while they normally had irreconcilable differences between groups, they have now been united in prayer, this is especially important so we can start promoting masculinity and unity in order to reconquer our societies.

Tier 3

For Tier 3: This tier is about Traditionalist youth groups, parishes etc.. While in this tier you should focus on in-group cohesion and growth, through confidence & friendship with the other members, they can even help you to organize the activities in tier 1 and tier 2. Specifically, with those who are intrinsically outgoing, extroverted, Men of action.

For those who are already in your group, ‌motivate them to go outside and meet other people. Sometimes they get too comfortable with their own group and lose interest or drive, but it's key for the well-being of the group and long term growth.

We helped to strengthen the activities of our own parish, "thanks to covid" we have gained a lot of new people, we included them easily and forged that growth into a cohesive group, what we did included holding weekly conferences with the priests, going on pilgrimages, hiking, Holy Hours, and touring museums, All-night prayer, Volunteering etc.. This is a combination of both religious and secular activities on a weekly basis, these should be set up in such a way to have enough time afterwards to have a few drinks and bond together. The amount of people in these activities involves 20-50 participants usually, one must survey the resources of the members and surroundings of the parish to see all the opportunities while praying to God that he may bless your parish.

There are many plans in motion to improve the group. We are trying to build a network to ensure we can bring into contact with each other people who are looking for renting, housing, employment or those who want to promote their services, skills and charity.

Why does all of this matter?

We encourage you to organize, not just for the sake of organizing. Everything a man does in life must have meaning. We foremost urge you to organize for the Glory of God. However, the rootless Globalists are waging their perpetual war against all that is good on this planet. Only a devout, strong & connected Catholic community can stand tall against evil and be victorious. Organizing locally and strengthening the bonds with your fellow Catholics is essential for the triumph of the Good over evil, we shall remember what Our Lady said in her apparition.

"The precious light of the Faith will be extinguished in souls because of the almost total corruption of morals. By then there will be great calamities, physical and moral, public and private. The few souls who will preserve devotion to the Faith and the virtues will suffer cruel and indescribable distress, something like a prolonged martyrdom [...]. To obtain freedom from the slavery of those heresies, those whom the merciful love of my Most Holy Son has destined for such restoration will need great strength of will, constancy, courage and much trust in God. To test the Faith and Confidence of the Righteous, moments will come when all seems lost and paralyzed, but they will be the happy beginning of the complete restoration." - Our Lady of Good Success

One way to fight the blackpill, to avoid looking at everything in a negative way is through action and prayer. The more we strive to do, the more opportunities arise, the more we can focus on the things that can be achieved, to the things that with God’s grace we can do while we spend less time on paths that lead us to an impasse, to the things we don't have really a voice or choice, it's the path of crying, moaning, criticism, reacting to the latest thing X liberal said or did is very easy but brings nothing, we should trust everything outside of our control to God, if he allows that hardship, it is to make us stronger.

Our future is bleak, we must remain vigilant, the demons are coming for the victories we have now. So we must take the duty upon ourselves to work towards the same goals, or else it will be too late. You cannot be alone in the mountains forever. In a collapse, communities are what will remain despite all the horrible things that will happen and already occur. Some of us follow a wicked "sigma" mentality, which is a meme, but they are too individualistic to see the writing on the wall. Alone they are nothing, technology has enabled these people to be lone wolves, but as we have read in the apocryphal accounts from the siege of Sarajevo, no matter how well trained and prepared one man is, he didn't stand a chance against the wretches and thieves that overwhelmed him. The lone wolves would be the first to die or last to die alone, contributing nothing.

Then there are the collectivist sectarian groups, blinded by their petty politics and dramas. Obsessed with their political doctrines and ideas which fail to ferment into reality while at the same time achieving nothing. They would rather have the same conference for the usual 10 people than do anything in the streets which will really make their movement grow. As soon as a new group gets more attention, instead of trying to help them, join them, influence them? They will belittle them and accuse others of inauthenticity while they themselves continue to achieve nothing, turning themselves into a toxic purity spiral of death while our enemies grow stronger every day.

We are called upon to become Coniugators (he who joins together), unifying the scattered flocks, tribes. A Coniugator is neither the Old Guard, nor the New Guard but coalesces the two by wearing the full armor of God, we should also strive to help both toxic individualist and collectivist, regardless of what they do, we need everybody in this divine conflict.

Our Message

We are building a formal association to hold public Rosaries every year. We have made good contacts with all the big Catholic newspapers in Spain. We will consistently hold both annual and monthly events. The annual events are to attract the mainstream, which is focused on youth in general. The monthly events are both to attract conservatives and meet more people and weekly events for our participants, to consolidate the group.

To all of those who feel inspired by this story & method of doing things, we all have varying and unique circumstances. We were personally blessed by being in a big city with a somewhat decent core of people to work with who happened to have great connections. We should all focus on playing our cards in the right manner and never say "here, there is nothing to do", the grass of your neighbor always seems greener despite him probably having far worse problems than you might think you have. Take advantage of everything according to your local circumstances, even if you move elsewhere, those skills you learned in that harsh situation, will bring you great benefits wherever you're posted at.

Some of you may think that we sowed in a sterile land. That we started from nothing. All of this effort for a small result. It seems that in this way we do not trust in Divine Providence. However, Justo Gallego was alone, he is one Spanish man that built a cathedral all by himself. Remember that medieval Cathedrals were erected by generation after generation of craftsmen who knew they would die without seeing their works completed.

In today's world, people believe that if something is not fixed with the push of a couple of buttons, it is useless to try to fix it. At the bottom of this lies a Pelagian way of thinking, in which the works are sought after as the activity of a company, in which during the course of a year, you have to present a sheet of results. It is contrary to the way of praising God, who alone will judge what we have done and why, and will bring out the results that are appropriate. We are not doing this for ourselves, we march across time for the dead and the unborn, we are connected with them by the same threads. Pursue this glorious path into his light against all fear and suffering.
