How To Size A Cock Ring

Tips For Measuring

Most guys are in the 40mm-50mm range.
55mm is a pretty big ring. So if you're not bigger than average, try measuring again and make sure you pull the string tight.
If you have a good-fitting round ring, MEASURE ANYWAY. You may find your Primal ring size is 5mm (~.2 in) smaller than your round ring size. Our keyhole shape fits a bit looser than a round ring with the same diameter.
Measure twice! Due to the intimate nature of these rings, we can't accept returns or exchanges.

The World's Best-Fitting Cock Rings
Gather Your Supplies. You'll need a piece of string and a ruler to get your measurement. We recommend using a string instead of trying to use a soft tape measure.
Measure. Wrap the string around your penis and behind your balls. Mark the string where it meets. You want the string quite snug. You should be able to just fit a finger between your skin and the string when you're soft. And it should be comfortably tight when you're hard so that you can't fit in a finger. You may want to measure both soft and hard to double-check your size.
Determine Your Size. Measure the distance from the end of the string to the mark. This is the circumference. Use the handy table below to get your size.
The most important thing to remember when putting on your ring is:
The Primal 'P' should face up and away from you (so other people can read it!).
Remember: Safety first! Do not wear a ring that is too tight, and remove the ring immediately if you feel discomfort, a sensation of coolness, observe any changes in color, bleeding, or feel tingling or numbness. If in doubt, take it off. Men with pre-existing genital conditions or injuries, or those taking anticoagulants should consult their physician prior to use. Cock rings should not be worn for more than 30 minutes, and you should not sleep in a ring.
Designed with a narrower, curved band for amazing comfort.
Comfort meets style, wrapped in a durable, body-safe black finish.
The narrowest ring in our lineup. Perfect for guys who prefer a bit less bulk.
A narrow ring in a striking, durable black finish that's sure to grab attention.

A good fitting cock ring results in a longer and stronger erection, but only when there is the right amount of constriction. Stretchy or adjustable cock rings will fit most guys, however for some silicone and metal cock rings it’s best to buy a size fitted for you.
Use our 4 step plan below on how to measure yourself for a cock ring.
Preferably a tape measure that is flexible enough to bend and wrap around your penis. If you don’t have one, grab a piece of string and a ruler.
In order to get the right fit, it is important to measure yourself when you are fully erect. You want the cock ring to be a little snug so it will keep your penis plumb while it is at its hardest.
Now that you are fully erect, wrap the tape measure or the piece of string tightly around your shaft. Hold your finger at the part where the tape or string meets itself. Measure and note the length.
You can either measure your shaft where it meets the rest of your body (behind your balls), or before your balls, depending on where you want to wear a cock ring.
Fill in the length of the in our diameter calculator below. You now have the diameter of the cock ring that will fit you right. Depending on how snug you want your cock ring to fit, try not to go 12mm below your calculated diameter.
You can now shop confidently at our online store for the right size cock ring. Even if you end up wanting a different size after receiving our cock rings, we can help you with our “Right Fit Guarantee” policy on most of our cock rings!

An important part of purchasing a penis ring is making sure that it fits properly. It should be tight enough to restrict the penile blood flow, but not too tight as to cause damage to the penis . To deal with this, you need to have an understanding of how cock ring sizing works.
When choosing a cock ring, there isn’t a single set of guidelines that suits everyone. Different manufacturers all have their own stats for their own products, and things might not translate from one company to another. Either the measurements or tension levels of the rings may differ even if it still says large or medium.
If you already owned cock rings and decide to start using a different manufacturer then it may take a little trial and error to find your new appropriate size. The size of a cock ring is usually measured in diameter. The size of the cock ring should be slightly smaller than the diameter of your penis.
Obviously, it’s very difficult to measure the diameter of your own penis. You should instead measure the circumference (the measurement around the edge of the penis). This can then be converted into diameter with some calculations. There are many tools online that can help with this.
Unless you buy a metal cock ring, there will be some give to the cock ring. This means even with rings that are slightly too small you should still be able to wear them. If you don’t want to worry too much about finding the exact right size, then picking up an adjustable cock ring can make the whole process much easier.
When measuring yourself for a cock ring, it’s important to be erect as the penis is much bigger at this point. You should measure the part you plan to put the ring around (most often the base of the penis). If you don’t have a flexible measuring tape to use, you can use a piece of string instead. Wrap the string around the penis and mark on it with a pen where the string crosses over. Then lay it flat next to a ruler and see where your mark ends up.
If you plan on buying a cock and ball ring , the process of measuring is very similar, with one key difference. Rather than just measuring around the base of the penis, you need to measure around the shaft and the entire scrotum. You can do this several times to make sure you have an accurate measurement.
Even if buying an adjustable cock ring it’s still important to have a rough idea of your measurements. These cock rings have minimum and maximum diameters, so if your penis circumference doesn’t fall within these numbers the ring won’t fit no matter how much you adjust it.
This measurement is much more important when buying a metal cock ring . Plastic or latex cock rings will have more give, so a slightly inaccurate measurement won’t be the end of the world. Metal rings are completely rigid though, so an inaccurate measurement will be much worse. These types of cock rings are not recommended for beginners.
If you feel any discomfort or pain while wearing your cock ring, you should remove it immediately and check your measurements were correct. If you don’t want to waste lots of money buying several cock rings, it’s important to get your measurements correct before buying.
Remember that these are only rough estimates, and it might vary slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer. The only way to be sure is to take your own measurements and compare them to the manufacturers guidelines.

If you are purchasing a ring as a gift, please see our Gifting Guide .
King Rings’ fine 2mm size granularity is unprecedented in the metal c-rings market and makes a tailored fit experience possible. Our wide bands (20mm) make the rings fit more snug than thinner bands with the same inner diameter and experiencing this difference is important.
We recommend ALL NEW CUSTOMERS start with a set of Sizing Rings , this option also provides a discount to help you discover the luxury of our metal rings.
Whether you are considering rings of this type for the first time or are a seasoned collector, our 3D printed sizing rings are the perfect way to find your best fit and compare how each of the sizes performs for you.
Most other sellers ask you to measure at home and make your best guess. The cost of getting it wrong is generally not too high but, even if you are satisfied, you may always wonder if another size might have been better. We remove all the guess work and participate with you as you find what works best.
Sizes sold here are good for 95% of men but you might want to confirm the range is appropriate for you before buying into our refined sizing process. The following guidance was initially developed when we sold fewer sizes with just 4mm size granularity. Now, with finer sizing, these techniques are not precise enough to pinpoint a single size but work very well for range estimation.
Our signature rings fit around the base of your penis behind the balls. It is important while measuring that you are warm (the boys hanging loosely) and flaccid.
Measure And Mark: While flaccid, use a string, fabric ribbon, or tailor tape and wrap it around the base of your penis behind your scrotum to get a measurement of circumference. This should be a gentle wrap, firmly against your skin but not squeezing flesh into any wrinkles. Mark the overlap, straighten out the ribbon, and measure between your two marks in millimeters or inches. Hopefully, you are within – or close to the margins of – the following range: 170mm to 240mm OR 6 5/8″ to 9 1/2″ .
Simulate With Paper: Easily construct a paper ring which closely mimics the diameter and band width of our signature Tungsten Carbide rings. It wraps around your shaft, takes care of the measurement, and removes easily. Download the template with full instructions here: King Rings Sizing Ruler
Glans rings fit on the shaft of the penis, just behind the head (glans), and are a bit trickier to measure. Unlike a cock ring, which is held in place by the scrotum, a glans ring is held in place almost exclusively by its grip just behind the edge (corona) of the penis head. To fit properly, the glans ring should be loose enough to allow your penis to expand when erect, yet small enough to not slip past the corona when you are flaccid.
Measure And Mark: While flaccid, use a string, fabric ribbon, or tailor tape and wrap it around the shaft of your penis just behind the head to get a measurement of circumference. This should be a gentle wrap, firmly against your skin but not constricting. Mark the overlap, straighten out the ribbon, and measure between your two marks in millimeters or inches. Hopefully, you are within – or close to the margins of – the following range: 95mm to 130mm OR 3 3/4″ to 5 1/8″ .
In addition to these preparatory steps, you have the option to add sizing ring singles during checkout. This permits you to test the size you ordered before unsealing your high value ring (see our Return Policy ) but you won’t have any benefit of comparison with other sizes.
If there is anything more we can do to reassure your size selection please let us know .
I’m confused at your usage of millimeters in measuring and then measured size of the rings themselves. I used a tailor’s tape measure and I sit at about 8 1/4 inches in circumference which equals out to 209.55mm. But then the largest ring is stated to be 58. For the Ring itself are you speaking of it’s diameter? At which point my numbers still don’t match up to fitting anything, as the calculation to diameter is 66.7 mm. So I’m rather confused by you saying a max of 240mm.
KingRings.com no longer provides “measure and calculate” type advice (we used to) because it proved to be too unreliable. Instead, our sizing guide suggests an appropriate circumferential range of 6 5/8” to 9 1/2″, which you are in! Our sizing rings do all the work for you and are also an excellent proxy for the fit and feel of our metal rings.
That said, using your measurement and our old method of calculation, we get 53mm which is well within our size range. The thing you missed was the squeeze factor, the rings have to be smaller than what you measured in order for them to stay on. Here is our calculation with a 20% reduction in circumference to account for squeeze.
Try this, take your tailor tape and wrap it around the based of your penis – behind the balls – and pull the loop closed until the measurement shows 6 5/8 inches. This approximated the tightness of a 53mm ring.
1st time buying a metal ring. I’m fine purchasing the sizing ring kit however my string measurement was 10.5” which I believe is outside your range. You say close to 9.5” max. Just wondering if an inch over is close or am I out of luck. Thanks
We have learned from doing this that the string measure technique is rather unreliable on its own, largely due to variation each man introduces to the process. An inch outside our suggested range is likely within the margin for error and I would encourage you to try the sizing rings anyway.
That said, the suggested range is for 44-58mm rings and, at the time of this writing, Woody is available in a 64mm size. We can include an appropriate sizing ring with your purchase of a set – on request.
Hey Scott,
I done the Measure And Mark technique. I’m in rage with 210mm. But I don’t know how to calculate the right size now. I was guessing that I’m measuring the circumference. So I plug the number in an circular calculator. With an 210 circumference i got an 66.8 in diameter. This doesn’t seem right. I don’t believe my calculation was wrong. I check it several times. What did I wrong?
Hi Sam – I am happy to hear you were successful in measuring yourself and discovered you are within our size range, that’s really all you need to do – the next step is to order a set of Sizing Rings.
Measuring is a blunt tool and can approximate a size but it’s near impossible to determine your best fit this way. Our sizes differ by 2mm – the width of a grain of rice – and personally testing out each size yourself is invaluable. Do not skip the sizing rings.
Regarding calculation of ring size from measurement (a step this article does not advise), I’ll satisfy your curiosity. Your calculation ignored the requisite squeeze factor which we estimate to be about 20% of total circumference. In your case: (210*0.80)/3.14 = 53.5mm ring size. Based on experience, I would say you are a 52mm or less. The sizing rings will confirm.
What would be the best way to find a good fit if the size difference between my soft and hard penis is quite significant. What would be the best way to have a good fit while soft but not prevent blood circulation while erect?
Many men – self included – prefer different sizes for different uses. You may find that you prefer a lesser size for casual wear, that’s pretty normal. One of the many benefits of our rings are their 2mm size granularity which really makes it possible to fine-tune your ring experience. With a full set of our sizing rings, it is very easy to find and try out your preferred ring size(s).
I have a question in terms of sizing: If we are familiar with the size of c-ring that we usually wear but still want to try the sizing rings to see if there’s another happy fit, do you suggest we start choosing the rings at the size we currently wear and up from there or give a little wiggle room by starting with a size smaller then our current size and then a size bigger?
If you already have a known-comfortable size you might still discover King Ring’s rings fit a bit differently. The width of our bands makes them fit more snug than narrower bands with the same inner diameter and we offer 2mm size granularity which is very uncommon for metal rings.
We recommend picking a Sizing Rings set that has your known-good size right in the middle, with one or two sizes above and below. When you get the rings, start with the largest size and work your way down until you find a size that is too small. That’s not your ring, the next larger one is.
Hi Scott
Did the measurements as described above and worked it out to 57.57mm
Now I repeated the measurement when everything was excited and came out at 66.24mm. I’m a little concerned that the largest ring (58mm) may be too restricting?
Not looking to take my ball pein hammer to bed and trusting my girlfriend to be a good shot.
I have ordered sizing rings though.
Hi Stuart – You were right to order the sizing rings as they take all the guess work out of sizing and are the best way to ensure a great fit. It sounds like you will be on the large side of the range and the plastic rings will help confirm that. You will find some helpful advice in the box with your sizing rings. Please contact me directly if you need any additional assistance.
