I don't respond via normal telegram chats unless I know you personally or through a mutual friend. I just hate spam just like anyone else and neither do I like reporting spam (basically this is the reason you see me don't bother to respond to your messages if you ever sent me a telegram in normal chat instead of secret chat). Privacy and Security matters and so here's a little tip on how to send me a telegram chat if need be.

I use Secret Chats On Telegram

Me: How are secret chats different?

Tripp: Secret chats are meant for people who want more secrecy than the average fella. All messages in secret chats use end-to-end encryption. This means only me and you can read those messages — nobody else can decipher them, including Telegram. On top of this, Messages cannot be forwarded from secret chats. And when You (I) delete messages on your side of the conversation, the app on my (your)  side of the secret chat will be ordered to delete them as well.

You can order your messages, photos, videos and files to self-destruct in a set amount of time (I prefer 15 seconds but you are free to set as you so wish) after they have been read or opened by the recipient(me or you). The message will then disappear from both of our devices.

All secret chats in Telegram are device-specific and are not part of the Telegram Cloud. This means we can only access messages in a secret chat from our device of origin. They are safe for as long as our device is safe in our pocket.

Me: How do I start a secret chat?

Tripp :- iOS: Start a new message (tap the icon in the top-right corner in Messages). Then ‘New secret chat’.
Android: Swipe right to open the menu, then ‘New secret chat’.
WP: Tap in the chats list, then ‘New secret chat’.

Remember that Telegram secret chats are device-specific. If you or I start a secret chat with a friend on one of your (my) devices, this chat will only be available on that device. If you (I) log out, you (I) will lose all your (my) secret chats. You (I) can create as many different secret chats with the same contact as you (I) like.

Me: How do self-destructing messages work?

Tripp: The Self-Destruct Timer is available for Secret Chats only. To set the timer, simply tap the clock icon (in the input field on iOS, top bar on Android, chat info page on WP), and then Set Self-Destruct Timer to the desired time limit(I prefer 15 seconds). The clock starts ticking the moment the message is displayed on the recipient's screen (gets two green checks). As soon as the time runs out, the message disappears from both devices.

Photos sent with short self-destruct timers (< 1 minute) can only be viewed while you're holding your finger on them — and telegram will try to send a notification whenever a screenshot is taken.

Please note that the timer only applies to messages that were sent after the timer was set. It has no effect on earlier messages.
