💸 Guide on payment methods on the TGShops platform

On our platform, you can accept payments in three ways: cash, cards, and Telegram Stars.

1. Cash

Is a legal entity required? No

You can arrange with customers to accept cash payments independently. The terms can vary: payment upon pickup, transfer to a card, or any other convenient method. This option allows you to flexibly approach each client.

2. Cards

Is a legal entity required? Yes

To enable card payments, you need to contact a local payment provider. Most likely, you will need to visit a physical bank branch and open an account. You can find a list of providers working with Telegram here.

3. Telegram Stars

Is a legal entity required? No

Telegram Stars is the internal currency of Telegram, and payment is made on the principle of in-app purchases.

IMPORTANT:

• This payment method is mandatory if you sell digital products
• When paying this way, a 30% surcharge is automatically added to the cost of goods, which Telegram pays to Apple and Google stores
• You can enable Telegram Stars payments in the Shops Builder (Payment).

How to pay using Telegram Stars?

  1. When placing an order, your customers can choose the "Telegram Stars" payment method.

  2. They will then receive a message directly in your bot with a proposal to pay using "Telegram Stars".

Directly during the purchase following the in-app purchase principle.
