Rep. Gerry Connolly Advocates for Climate Action and Infrastructure Reform in Latest Legislative Push

Washington, D.C. – May 28, 2024 – U.S. Representative Gerry Connolly (D-VA) is spearheading new efforts to address climate change and modernize infrastructure, reaffirming his commitment to progressive policies as Congress debates key spending bills.

Connolly, a senior member of the House Oversight and Reform Committee and chairman of the Subcommittee on Government Operations, has long been a vocal advocate for environmental sustainability and government accountability. This week, he introduced an amendment to the upcoming infrastructure package that would allocate additional funding for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and renewable energy projects in Northern Virginia.
