GFI tool tube facing tool is designed for facing and preparing tube ends for welding in conformance with industry standards. Ideal for orbital tube welding machine before weld preparation.
To correct tube distortion and damages, it is necessary to do machining in that area to attain a flat surface with required surface finish. But due to the weight and size of the assemblies it is difficult to move the equipment to onsite and machine the flat surface. In order to make it easier, GFI Tool develop a portable tube facing tool assembly is designed so that this tool can be compact type and machining can be done.
This tool will face/ square 0.25″ to 4.5″ outside diameter tubing with a wall thickness of up to 0.3″. This tube squaring tool must use an OD Saddle Clamping System for holding and rounding the tube. The tool must accept its own torque through the Saddle Clamping System. Speed control must be provided with a variable speed electric drive or pneumatic drive motor. Feed is to be provided by a lever action with a micro feed system providing an accurate controlled feed of 0.001″
