After publicly sharing how she became a professional dome Sherry Lever, 68, from Swindon was inundated with over a hundred requests from women keen to ‘learn the ropes’.
Following three divorces Sherry revealed how she reinvented herself first as a phone-sex worker, then as a mistress that charges up to £120 an hour for a session. The mother-of three, who goes by her alter ego Mistress Sophia, maintains her children are completely understanding of her unconventional career path. Sherry told Barcroft TV: “After giving it some thought I appeared on television where I told my story, afterwards it was a revelation, I got lots of emails from women. “It was women who were in a similar situation to me, older women who had been left and were in the depths of despair as I was. “I think I had easily a hundred emails from women, I answered them all. It really touched me, and it actually made me feel I was helping somebody who had been in my situation. “There’s quite a few now who are working the phones that didn’t before. And I have quite a few that come to me to be trained. I don’t charge but they have to have a dominant streak.”
One of the women who reached out to Sherry was a 50-year-old office worker who now goes by her alter ego Mistress Chloe. After sitting in on some of Sherry’s session she is now considering giving up her office job to become a full-time dominatrix. Mistress Chloe told BTV: “Mistress Sofia [Sherry] has changed my life for the better. I’m a lot happier, confident. Got a spark in my life and I just really enjoy life now. “She’s trained me well in all sorts. I originally came into this just wanting to do foot worship but I‘ve come a long way since. She’s brought the confidence out of me and guided me along. “Before I was just nine-to-five, office job, now I have men that come over and clean, hoover, clean my kitchen for me. If they don’t do it good, they get a caning, I paddle them and whip them.”
Mistress Sofia offers a range of specialist services, from flogging and humiliation to ice play and sissy training to her submissives. She wants to dismiss the misconception that what she does is sex work and insists she does not have sex with any of her clients. She said: “So we are labelled under sex workers, sex business, sex industry and I want to dispel that fact. “I want people to understand we are not escorts; I don’t have sex with my subs or slaves. “They are only allowed to worship my feet, nothing above the ankles.”
Her daughter, Amy, 30, explains she isn’t embarrassed about it and hasn’t shied away from telling friends what her mum does for a living. Although initially concerned for her safety, after she met some of her mother’s slaves, she realised there were no real security concerns. She told BTV: “None of [my friends] have a problem with it, in fact it tends to be a general giggle when the subject is brought up. “I was apprehensive to begin with. She would never be in the house on her home. And then as time went on, we realised there wasn’t really anything to be worried about.” Sherry said about her children: “They’ve always been supportive right from when I first started doing the phone calls. “I did speak to them first and asked them how they felt about it. If they hadn’t of like it – I wouldn’t have done it.”
Sherry was 59 when her third husband left her for another woman and feeling worthless on her sofa. After an intervention from her daughter Amy she found strength to rebuild her life. Amy said: “Things got tough when my dad left her, that’s when she hit rock bottom. I sat next to her on the sofa and I told her I thought she was going to die.” Sherry said: “I think because of my past, I had bad marriages and each one left me just a little bit lower than the last. So, by the time my third marriage came to an end I thought so was my life. “Amy has been my rock. When she told me, she thought I was going to die that was like a light switch really. And that was it, I pulled myself together and here we are.” Now the 68-year-old says she has never been happier, she has converted her conservatory into her ‘playroom’ which boasts an impressive array of kinky paraphernalia from rubber masks to French maid outfits. “Before I became a dominatrix my life was dull, boring and then suddenly everything changed. “I might be elderly, but I have zing in me, I think that’s from what I do.”

A woman has admitted she is behind a bizarre viral video of a man being taken for 'walkies' like a dog and was paid £1,000 for the privilege.
Paige Baron, 21, a financial dominatrix, says she was contacted on Twitter by a man who had a 'puppy fetish' and was desperate for someone to treat him like a dog.
The man can be seen crawling on all fours, wearing gloves and a balaclava to mask his identity and a leash, and was filmed on Washwood Heath Road in Birmingham.

The clip shows Paige walking a man on a leash and since being filmed on Monday has already been viewed 1.5million times.
In the three months Paige, from Erdingdon, Birmingham, has been working as a 'dom' she has made in excess of £9,000 as well as being bought gifts by her submissives - including an iPhone 6 and a Louis Vuitton bag which cost £550.

Paige's partner can be heard in the video saying: 'He's here of his own free will. There's no law being broken. It's his choice. It's not forced upon him.'
The stay-at-home mother said: 'He took a flight and three buses and paid me £1,000 to be treated like a dog.
'I walked him, fed him puppy food, shaved his hair, cracked eggs on his head and attached pegs to his bare stomach before ripping them off.
'I even had him growling and whimpering.
'It was all consensual - he got off on it. I was surprised he ate the puppy food though. He told me he was a vegetarian.
'I wasn't embarrassed at all. It was entertaining. It certainly wasn't horrible.'
In the video, Paige can be seen walking the man down the busy high street in broad daylight.
In another video, Paige demands to hear the man woof, to which he obliges by barking like a dog three times.
And before she allows him to eat the puppy food, she commands that he 'wiggle like you're excited' and the half-naked man shakes his backside.
Stay-at-home mother Paige is one of a growing number of female entrepreneurs making large amounts of money by being 'findoms' - a combination of financial and domination.
The fetish involves 'submissives' or 'subs' handing over money or gifts to a 'dominant' or 'dom'.
Paige says she has over 45 subs on her books but that she only has one puppy.
She said: 'I get sent gifts to thank me for literally being alive. I never thought I'd be able to make so much money by treating men so badly, but it's so easy.
'They send me gifts through Amazon, meet me at cash points and give me money, and send me gift cards.
'Some of my subs even let me access their computers to transfer money right out of their accounts.
'The most expensive gifts I've been given is a Louis Vuitton hand bag which cost £550, and an iPhone 6 costing £530.
'They have these fetishes where they want to feel emasculated and powerless, and I'm just here to help them. It's not a job, it's a hobby.'
But Paige, who is in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend, draws the line at touching.
She added: 'It's never about sex. The only touching allowed is when they hold my feet to sniff my toes.'
Paige says she has made plans to meet her puppy again, only this time in London.
