I have two boys - one 9 and one 12. Less laundry for me if I dont have underwear to deal with. I found my oldest son going without about 2 years ago. I think he thought he was going to be in trouble (he was going skinny dipping with a friend). Other than a few places (like school) I have no problem if they go commando. After they quit wearing underwear to bed I found myself buying less and less "replacement" drawers. And besides, I think it's kinda cute.
Anyone seen the animated feature "The Snowman"? The little boy puts on his jeans with no underwear to go outside in the snow. I wonder sometimes if that didnt give my oldest the idea initially.
Apparently a couple of the boys friends do - but many have to sneak around their parents. That's crazy.
I do have to watch it with shorts though with my oldest - its not uncommon for something more than his legs to be coming out the leg holes.
Welcome to TFF Jenn. Yes my wife also enjoyed the less laundry aspect of freeballing kids. No PJs either. My kids grew up in hot Florida and preferred wearing as little as possible. My wife shopped for brands of shorts that had snug fitting legs. These may be harder to find now in this era of baggy clothes that boys wear these days (much to my puzzlement) but hopefully you can find some. Maybe some of the younger guys here who are more familiar with today's youth clothing brands can provide some more current advice for you.

I have a question for you Jenn, why don't you allow your kids to go freeballing to school? No offense or anything, just curious. But that is crazy that some kids have to sneak it. It is insane that the world is getting to this. I do not believe that they should be forced to freeball, just they should know that they are allowed to.
