DLsite.com (pronounced without the "." [2] ) is a digital distribution platform operated by the Japanese company EISYS, Ltd. It specializes in Dōjin (Dōjinshi / Dōjin games), computer software (PC games, adult games), digital books, etc. Products are separated into various marketplaces, of which, the digital Dōjin (indie) market is a pioneer in the field.

The mascot character is "Premium" (Character Design: MALINO) [6]

Contains Dōjin / Indie works (including those created by companies such as Lilith, softhouse-seal, Norn, etc.) intended for an adult audience.

Contains commercial games and anime intended for an adult audience. [11]

Started service May 14th 2009. A sister site which sells all products listed at 999 Yen (including tax). The products available for sale would change by the month. The website would close for about 1 week at the end of the month to replace all the available products. In order to purchase from this site, membership registration on DLsite.com is necessary, but purchases made on GAME999 cannot use or gain points.

Contains mainly commercial digital manga, novels, etc. The cosplay photoalbums that were sold on "DLsite Cosplay" were merged into this marketplace. (However, DLsite.com no longer sells photoalbums depicting real people.)

With the 2011 website renewal, "Hanamaru" (an extension from DLfun's "Hanamaru Net" which was merged in 2005) was renamed as "Girls Maniax". The "Hanamaru" era mascot characters "Hanaki" and "Isomaru" (Character Design: Misaki Hayase) were also changed to two new characters designed by SasakiMishiru.

DLsite is a digital storefront that centers mostly on doujinshi and doujin games. Founded in 1996, the company sells a variety of games, manga, anime, ASMR, and hentai . While most of the available media on DLsite is in Japanese, the platform also sells English translated versions of their titles in Western territories.

Established in 1996 as Soft Island, the company was renamed DLsite in 2001 when it became a part of ASIS Co. In 2004, DLsite relaunched its website and created an English version of the site. In 2009, DLsite created an optimized version of the platform for mobile devices and then, in 2010, the number of doujin circles registered with the platform exceeded 10,000. The DLsite received another major overhaul and redesign in 2011 and, in 2018, started officially translating select items on their storefront and selling a portion of them on Steam.

Today, DLsite plays a key role in the legal sale and dissemination of adult doujinshi and games made in Japan. They also offer a variety of safe for work titles, including Hatoful Boyfriend , various binural titles , and game development assets .
