Cut to 72 Hours Earlier—Matt Murdock, now a shell of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, sits in a church pew, gripping a rosary. Father Lantom’s successor, Father Jordan, watches him carefully. 'You’ve been gone a long time, Matthew. The Kitchen’s gotten worse.'

Matt’s reply is hollow. 'I’m done.'

But Hell’s Kitchen has other plans.

The Case of the Missing Children

A series of disappearances rocks the neighborhood—kids vanishing from foster homes, all linked to a shadowy organization called 'The Choir.' The NYPD, under the thumb of a corrupt new mayor (Wyatt Tower, a puppet for Wilson Fisk), dismisses it as runaways.

But one mother, Elena Rodriguez, begs Matt for help. 'They took my son. The police won’t listen. Please…'

Matt resists—until he hears a familiar heartbeat in the precinct. Foggy Nelson, now a jaded ADA, buried in red tape. Their reunion is icy.

'You don’t get to disappear and then waltz back in like nothing happened.'

But when Foggy’s own informant turns up dead—carved with a cryptic musical symbol—Matt’s fists tighten.

The Devil Rises

That night, the mask goes back on.

Interrogations lead to a black-market adoption ring, tied to Fisk’s empire. But something’s off—the kids aren’t being sold. They’re being trained.

A raid on a shipping container reveals cages, tiny handprints on the walls… and a single, bloodstained child’s glove with a Stark Industries logo.

The Twist

Matt tracks the trail to a former SHIELD 'rehabilitation' facility, now a front for The Power Broker (revealed to be a vengeful Sharon Carter). She’s building an army of enhanced orphans—'Born Again' soldiers.

But the real mastermind? Wilson Fisk, now the Mayor of New York, pulling strings from his penthouse. His endgame? A city so broken, it begs for his control.

Final Scene: 'Born Again'

Matt stands over Fisk’s enforcer, a brainwashed child-soldier with glowing fists, trembling. 'I won’t hurt you,' he whispers.

The kid snarls—'The Devil made me do it.'—and lunges.
