I don’t think one can put a price tag to the value I have obtained on this programme both personally and work. For me it was learning at a deeper level and the guidance obtained helped me implement suitable solutions to assist me in being a better person and as a leader. The ability to apply the skills and techniques learnt in new situations or existing ones helped me tremendously.
The coaching program has benefited the company immensely. As a result my relationship with line management, peers and team has drastically improved. The coaching has also improved my life on a daily basis.
I received immense value from this programme as I am focusing on what I can control and not expending energy on that which I cannot control. This has been great for my energy levels and productivity.
The workshop was incredibly insightful and spoke to more than leadership principles, but rather to an individuals make up. Holistically focusing on purpose and meaning and developing skills to become better in all aspects in one's life.
While it is still early days for us, I have the sense that my team have effectively absorbed the material. We are engaging with each other more effectively, and more importantly, are taking the lessons down into the heart of our organisation.
In relation to my personal life, the sessions helped me to be more aware of weaknesses and shortcomings in my dealings with my family and friends. I am now self-aware and self-critical of my behaviour and utterances around my friends and family. In short, the confidence has rippled from work environment into my personal space as well.
We have found their screening and interviewing methods are modern, thorough and fit for purpose, and they have helped us find very good candidates that have easily matched our business needs.
Finding the right talent includes being able to deliver on the brief of the assignment, but more than that – it entails showing a real understanding of the current culture and challenges of the business I am leading. Perhaps more importantly, though, is having an understanding where I am driving the business to in the future. It is for this reason that I have found The Executive Search assignments taken on by Cycan on my behalf, have resulted in success.
I found Cycan to be agile and highly engaged at every stage of the process. Regular feedback was provided on candidates and market. Cycan made a point of understanding our business and its desired future state – only presenting candidates that potentially could help us along that journey. An incredibly professional experience.

Cycan was instrumental in establishing Microsoft in South Africa, Nelson concludes. Cycan was the absolute foundation of the South African subsidiary. The effects of what they contributed are still felt today; the original hires are still there in key positions.
