Analysis:
Nikolas Cruz shot Madeline Wilford four times at high school. That should never have happened–because Madeline Wilford should never have been at school in the first place. She was a 17-year-old woman at the time, so she should have been at home with a husband and pregnant–or at least out of "high school" and busily learning how to become a responsible wife and mother. Warehousing adults like Madeline Wilford in high schools is dangerous for many reasons–one being the risk of violence, another being the risk of these adults losing their prime years for sexual reproduction. The lesson learned here is clear: governments in Florida and beyond must stop systematically interrupting the motherhood of young women.
