The chalet's prime position near to the pistes allows you to ski back to within 50m and from 75m. It is close to the Les Eucherts Express 6-seater chairlift, ESF ski school meeting point, kintergarden and nursery slope, all of which are a short walk or ski away in the morning. Les Eucherts links to La Rosiere via a pretty forest track which can be easily walked in 15 minutes. Alternatively you can take a short local bus ride. However with its own ski school and hire, bowling alley, ice rink, bars and restaurants, Les Eucherts is a convenient centre in itself. Chalet Papillon 5, la Rosiere is a duplex chalet apartment on the top floors of Chalet Papillon Complex, it has seven bedrooms all with full en-suite facilities: two on the top level and five on the lower of the chalet. The open plan lounge and dining room are on the middle floor; there is ample comfortable seating set around the fireplace together with a balcony with amazing views across the valley from la Rosiere. Chalet Papillon 5 has proved to be very popular with returning clients because its our largest chalet and can sleep up to 18 guests and 2 infants. If booking the whole of Chalet Papillon 5, an additional child's bed can be put in room 2. For a quote please contact our office. These ski chalets have proved to be very popular with regular guests, who love the two communal saunas, and the large ski deposit together with boot warmers on the ground floor. There is plenty of free underground parking in the Papillon complex, which means that if you choose to self drive you can relax and unload your luggage in a dry and safe environment, without the hassle of having to put on coats, snow boots etc. Bed linen and towels are included. Ski Packs may cost more in resort than if pre-booked. A local French tourist tax must be paid locally. The chalet hosts day off is Wednesday. During your holiday you'll be served up some scrumptious treats, hearty meals, and delicious locally sourced wine! A lovely start to the week, on arrival in your chalet, handmade pre-dinner canapes and aperitifs will be served to you in the lounge whilst your chalet host welcomes you to your chalet and introduces you to the resort. Breakfast Start your day with a delicious, cooked breakfast that includes bacon, eggs, beans or hash browns and mushrooms or tomatoes plus a selection of cereals, porridge, yoghurt and fresh bread. Served 8am to 9am 4 days only. Please note that there will be 4 cooked breakfasts served throughout the week and 3 self service breakfasts e. Afternoon Tea Scrumptious homemade cakes and a choice of teas are provided every day, best enjoyed while you relax in the lounge area in front of the log fire. Evening Meals We know how much extra yummy food can add to your ski chalet holiday, that's why the team work hard to make sure your chalet hosts are trained to the highest standard to make sure every morsel you'll taste during your stay will get those taste buds tingling. After dinner, fresh ground coffee or decaffeinated coffee as well as tea is served in the lounge. Kids Food Children aged 11 and under will be served high tea at around 6pm. This is provided at no extra cost and ensures that your child's normal routine is not disturbed: soft drinks or milk are served with the meal. It also ensures that adults can enjoy their evening meal, which is served at 7. If you have booked a whole chalet, then you can eat together - please speak to your chalet hosts on arrival. Dietary Requirements If you have specific requirements, please let us know at least 14 days prior to your holiday start date. The team can cater for special dietary requirements be that for medical reasons, religious reasons, or simply personal preference. The chalet hosts will be advised of these requirements in advance of your stay and every effort will be made to ensure that they are met. Car Park. Fire Place. Wi-Fi Free. Flights were extremely early starts in both directions but this was know in advance. We were met at the airport and on the road to La Rosiere by 11am. The reps were excellent and kept us well informed on details of our holiday. We were met at our chalet by our hosts Dom and Harry and welcomed with a glass of champagne and introduced to the chalet, the resort and our fellow guests. The food was restaurant quality and had an imaginative menu. The lads also provided an honesty bar for guests to buy beer, coke, soft brinks and chocolates. Breakfast was always ready in plenty of time for me to attend ski school without rushing. Skiing in La Rosiere was very enjoyable. I have been to two other alpine resorts and La Rosiere was smaller but felt more intimate and less crowded. And there was the benefit of being able to ski into Italy through beautiful scenery. We did get heavy snow on Thursday and Friday - at least 80cm - which meant that we could try out our skill of skiing in powder. As an improving skier this proved hard work for me and shorted my skiing day but for others, who were better skiiers it was the snow they had been waiting for!!. The weather was cold at times but it was January and we were prepared for cold weather. Wednesday proved the best day - beautiful sunshine and views of all the alpine summits - truly stunning scenery. Overall - a resort I would recommend and would definitely use Iglu in the future.
