Now I finally arrived in Isfahan and Ali, a friends friend, came with his pickup to pick me up and to bring me to my friends house, where I planned to stay for a few days. His mother welcomed me with watermelons and showed me the house and how the kitchen, bathroom and the automatic gate works. A few minutes later Amirs brother arrived and impressed me with his pretty good german skills. He actually studied and works in Germany but at the time when I was there, he returned for a few weeks to visit family and friends. Pretty crazy and probably the first time since the visit of some friends in Georgia, that I spoke german again. After a few days I decided to get back on the road but the Iranian people have been so hospitable that my average daily distance was so small that I noticed, it would be an insane rush to make it to Bandar Abbas in time. Ali told me about a bus that would go straight from Isfahan to Shiraz and suggested me to use it, which would bring me about km more south in less than a half a day. So he booked me the fare and made a reservation for my seat. Meanwhile Amirs brother contacted his former student mate they studied together in Germany who lives in Shiraz and told him to host me. Crazy dudes! Masters of organisation. So I cycled out of Isfahan to reach the bus station where Ali was already waiting for me to make sure that I would get safe in the right bus where he also managed a way to put my bike with in the bus. When I got told how much I had to pay I thought there were joking me. Felt like a super official meeting just with more fun. Of course Ali spoke due to his time studying in Germany also a very good German and he once we were back home he proudly offered me his last beer. Happy and pretty stuffed from the dinner and the beer I spend the night in Alis house and on the next day I visited the Pink Mosque and a few parks. Unfortunatly I was too tired to make it to the mosque during the sunrise early morning where the sun light and the colourful glass of the prayer room gives the whole room an insanely beautiful light. Now I had about 12 days left to reach Bandar Abbas which was still about km ahead. Not impossible but I would have to increase my milage. The roads have been good but other factors slowed my down a lot. One puncture after the other and somehow I struggled a few days with a barely noticable headache and randomly appearing dizzyness. Retrosprective I have a guess what this might have caused. At one day I was camping in a tiny abandoned or unfished house when 2 guys with a motorbike stopped and came in this house. They were a little confused about my presence but not to much. So they went into another room in this house, which was quite messy and called me to join them. Each of them had a tin foil with a substance on it which they heated up with a lighter from underneath. It turned dark, became liquid and with a straw they inhaled the vape which made me think if this could be a certain special way to consume cannabis oil. Well, shit…thats something I never wanted to try in my life but now I accidently did it. But I was kinda shocked and about how stupid I have just been. So maybe this might have caused the little headache I had but maybe I just had a small infection. I decided then to just go there and to see if I could extend my visa for a few days. As I arrived in Bandar Abbas I suffered again from an intense dizzyness in my head and the scenery I faced was totally mad. It was already dark and I struggled to keep focussed…everything was somehow blurry and in front of me a city appeared that looked like the home town of a really evil villain. Huge flames from the oil raffineries gave the whole situation this mad look. This changed the whole timing and I decided to visit Queshm island for a few a days. Good decision. So I just entered and totally amazed by the place I decided to spend the night there. After a few days on Queshm Island I went back to the mainland to Bandar Abbas and prepared my self for the ferry ride to Dubai. I stayed 2 more nights in the same park where I slept when I arrived here the first time and met a group of young guys who just gather there pretty much every evening to hang out. The hospitatily is just from another planet. The religious extreme conservative government did a good job to twist peoples mind but most of the young generation has nothing in common with this. For them, man and women are equal and both enjoy respect. Freedom for Iran!!! Holy shit! You do find yourself in some weird situations. Smoking heroin unknowingly??? Good thing you came through that one without much difficulty. After a time I developed a deadly allergy to marijuana.
