I had to use two rounds so two boxes as I have thick, dark brown hair and I knew from going to the hairdresser that a lot of my hair can't be lifted in one round. For two rounds of bleach and a semi permanent hair dye, my hair is surprisingly soft. I didn't experience any straw like texture or drying. I used both sachets of powder and two bottles of developer as I have quite long, thick hair, and yet the tiny sachets of toner they give don't cover the same area! It is a good toner though.
