Updated: Aug Adam Bell. As part of the fantastic Adelaide Hospitality Jobs FoodiesParadise competition, I was lucky enough to win a voucher to dine at the wonderful Lenzerheide Restaurant! The Lenzerheide Restaurant is situated in the heart of Hawthorn, a mere 7 minutes from the Adelaide CBD, and has an abundance of stress free on-site parking including reserved disability spaces, and also wheelchair access into the restaurant. Upon entering the building, the warm and relaxing ambience of this once historical residence greets you, and exudes a sense of harmony and warmth. Guests are then promptly welcomed by a member of the front of house team at the reception desk, pictured to your left, introduced to the waiters for the evening and then guided and accompanied to your table. Our waiters, Mark and Nigel, were there to cater for our every need, from the moment we walked in, until the very last second where they held the door open to bid us farewell. It was relaxing, pleasant and conductive to an amazing dining experience, with mood lighting, soothing background music, wonderful artwork and the stunning atrium, located in the centre of the dining room, which is so unique and aesthetically pleasing. The menu catered for everyone with a wide variety of upscale modern Australian dishes, as well as gluten free and vegetarian options and a separate menu consisting of vegan choices. There was also a separate menu for the wine and drinks list. As for drinks we all opted for something different from the menu. Whereas my guests chose something a little closer to home, supporting IChooseSA with:. A bleasdale sparkling shiraz from the Langhorne Creek wine region. In between we ordered a Bellini sorbet of lemon, white peach and sparkling wine which was a refreshing Palate Cleanser. It was absolutely delicious and the waiters left us the serving tureen, so we could help ourselves to more, which we thought was a great idea. After waiter recommendation for our main course, we decided to order an Emmentaler Poulet each as well as a side of tartiflette, which was a great accompanying dish for the main. The Emmentaler Poulet is a Lilydale free range Chicken Breast, filled with luxurious Swiss cheese, crumbed, pan fried, served with asparagus, hollandaise sauce and rice pilaf. We were also very impressed by the generous portion sizes. The tartiflette consisted of potatoes, reblochon cheese, smoked bacon lardons, onions, fresh thyme and cream — this was also exceptional. The amazing Brulee consisted of Ferrero Rocher ice-cream, chocolate, and melt in the mouth marshmallow meringue. An exquisite combination of taste and flavour. The Lenzerheide Gelati place had a special combination of flavours including.
