Update: Rady has since left Blow but Sebastian and I have been reunited! He has now joined the Blow team and still does a great job with my hair. I even recently let him cut it a bit shorter not an easy thing for me to do! I wrote a post about some of the better hair salons in Brussels a little while back. Not a good sign…. There are about 15 work stations upstairs, with the hair washing area downstairs. I went for highlights and a cut last Saturday, their opening weekend, as I was in desperate need. After a quick chat with Rady for the cut, Kara, a fellow Midwesterner from the US, got started on the color. She really is the best. One of the best parts of the salon is the washing station, which has amazing reclining chairs that lift you into a horizontal position to get your hair washed. No more bent, cramped neck! Rady did a great job with the cut and blow-dry after. It was so nice not to be passed between five different people and have quality service from experienced staff. Rady went a bit big and glamorous, which was a fun departure from the normal straight blow-dry. The team currently includes Russell, Jef, Rady and Kara, but may expand if business grows. I was very surprised to find out he left and also surprised to hear Kara left — she had been there for years also! My major disappointment is that neither Rady nor Sebastian contacted me to let me know where to follow… Why not??? I am very careful with who I allow to cut my hair. I told Rady about the cut I had in mind and I was open to whatever he suggested. I am delighted with the results!!! I highly recommend this place. Been so disappointed with all these hairdressers, they cannot cut frizzy hair and I end up with too much being cut off and looking like a lamb! Always the same silly story, your hair is dry, you have to cut it and putting the blame on other hairdressers. I never have this in the UK. I wish they will realise that dry hair will remain dry, no matter how many products you put on it, ok when you leave the salon but a few days later back to normal, not rocket science! So will be glad to try this one and hope they will not try to flog shampoos and conditioners to me! Now I really need to colour my hair so am tempted to try this after reading your post.
