These are definitely faster then the level 2 nipples. I bought these a bit early and thought my 4 month old might be able to handle them as he was sucking his level 2 nipples so hard he would suck air past the side of the nipple. I gave up that idea halfway through his first feeding with these and put them in storage for a few months as he could barely keep up and started gulping after about 2 ounces. I guess it kind of worked though, because after that he started slowing himself down to a "comfortable" pace with the level 2's. I'm sure there are some parents out there that will more or less say I should have know better, but I though perhaps these would be like a level "2.5" as there didn't seem to be that drastic of a difference between the level 1 and level 2's. I'm sure someone out there will tell the mathematical differences in orifice size and set the record straight. And yes, this is our first kid, so I (we) are still figuring it out. :)

I bought Dr.Browns because there are so many good reviews about them. I’m a foster parent on my 20th child in placement so I have tried every kind of bottle and nipple there is- these are my LEAST favorite. The nipples leak. I have tried three sizes of nipples and it is the same with all of them. The bottles are assembled properly. They just leak. The worst part about it is when you make the bottle and shake to mix it- the lid fills with milk and drips out. So there are droplets flying everywhere and a lid full of milk waiting to spill out on you when you open it. (see photos) This is really disappointing since these bottles and nipples are not cheap. Also, it takes my 5 month old twice as long to finish her formula from this bottle as it does the Philips Avent, which is what we have used since the Dr. Browns are basically unusable. You can’t bring them in a diaper bag, they will leak. If you use them at home, you have to shake and open it over the sink unless you want a milk mess all over the place. And, for some reason my daughter gets frustrated drinking from them. I have a 9+ month nipple on them that she uses and for some reason she still can’t drink as fast as she’d like. On our Avent, I have a 3+ month nipple on and it works fine. I would not recommend. I don’t see a difference with gas/colic and it definitely isn’t worth the headache and mess.

The venting just doesn't work and it creates vacuum when baby sucks on it which makes it harder to drink with each suck. I attached a picture of the original nipple (left - works well) and this one (right - doesn't work). What surprises me is that the size 2 nipples from this seller were the correct ones.

When I first opened these I was shocked at how thin they were. Much thinner than both the Evenflo and lifefactory nipples I had been using.

The best thing about these is that they have a 3 printed on each nipple so it’s very easy to tell them apart from others.

The most aggravating part is that they collapse. My 5 month old collapsed these regularly. He’s gotten somewhat more used to them now and they collapse less, but still do collapse. He either has to break the suction so it fixes itself, or I have to break the suction to let air in. Such a bummer bc these nipples were affordable when Evenflo and Lifefactory was not.

We have used the similac disposable nipples for entire 5 months. It is so bloody expensive. I bought the Philips Avent bottles and nipples for every single stage even before my son was born. God knows how much money we have spent on those stuff. After entire 5 months I thought we could finally switch from disposable ones to regular nipples. But whoops! He's already used to the shape of the narrow and long ones. He just refused to take one sip from the wide and short shape of Avent nipples even after 6 hours, though he normally eats every three hours. I was so worried and almost ready to order the similac nipples again. But i found these so similar and ordered immediately together with Dr Brown's bottle. To my relief, my son loves it and eats super fast with the Level 3 (6+) nipples which i was kinda concerned he might be choked because of the fast flow since he just turned 5 months. We've been using it for 4 days. And it works perfectly! I'm so happy that we've finally got the right bottle and nipple which is so much economic, and most importantly, my son loves it! That's what matters ultimately.

La calidad de Dr browns me encanta lo use desde premie hasta ahora 7 meses. Lo unico es que el Numero del chupon no es tan facil ver lo o leer lo asi que cuando tu bebe pasa al proximo talla saca los viejos y gaurda los para no confundir se. Y ojo aunque compras la botellas mas grande no vienen con chupon mas grande todas botellas vienen con talla 1, asi que tienes que comprar estos aparte. yo compre estos en rebaja estaba mucho mas barato que en las tiendas grandes tradicionales llego el dia siguinte y vuelvo a comprar mas en proxima rebaja.
