@🍄 gay is liking the same genders as one, specifically if you are a man and like men, but can also be referred to women liking women. bi is liking genders same and opposite of one, reference to both men and women. also you can be romantically attracted to people but not sexually attracted, for example I would be biromantic if I were romantically attracted to same and opposite genders of mine. just wanted 2 put that out there

Alfred Kinsey, a pioneering sex researcher, and his associates Wardell Pomeroy and Clyde Martin developed the Kinsey Scale, formerly known as the Heterosexual-Homosexual Rating Scale. It was first mentioned in their 1948 book Sexual Behavior in the Human Male.
Despite its shortcomings, the Kinsey Scale was groundbreaking when it was originally released since it was the first scientific scale to show that human sexuality and sexual attraction are a continuum rather than being limited to only heterosexual or homosexual orientations.

Kinsey, a biologist, and his colleagues interviewed thousands of people to study human sexual behavior, preferences, ideas, and feelings, with Kinsey alone doing 8,000 interviews.

Dr. Fritz Klein, a psychiatrist and sex researcher, created the Klein Grid in 1978 to better demonstrate the complexities and variety of human sexuality. The Klein Grid, like the Kinsey Scale, is not intended to “diagnose” or assign a definitive label or number to anyone’s sexuality. The Klein Grid, on the other hand, is a model designed to help people perceive their sexuality more holistically.
Klein modified the Kinsey Scale concept to include previous experiences and future wants in order to emphasize sexual fluidity or the various ways a person’s sexuality can vary and change over time. He also included social and psychological components to account for the fact that sexuality encompasses far more than just sexual interaction.
Kinsey and his colleagues classified the people they interviewed using the scale. As a result, no official Kinsey “exam” to accompany the scale exists, despite the fact that such tests have been devised by others and are widely available online.

Our sexuality is an integral part of who we are. How do you know if you are gay, lesbian or straight? Many of us have
wondered. Klein Sexual Orientation Grid Test is designed to provide a graphical representation of one's sexual
orientation. The test can be applied to men and women, and offers orientation placement on scales from heterosexual
to homosexual, similar to the Kinsey scale.
The Klein Sexual Orientation Grid is a system to describe an individual’s sexual preferences in a more
detailed way. It was introduced by Dr. Fritz Klein (1932-2006) in the first edition of his 1978 book The Bisexual
Option. Previously, the one dimension Kinsey scale was used to describe the sexual orientation of the
person. The founders of the Kinsey scale call it a Homosexual-Heterosexual
Scale . This is because it considers a more fluid definition of sexual and romantic orientation than
labeling someone as heterosexual, bisexual, or gay. But the criticism arose on Kinsey Scale because of its
Two-dimensional property.
To overcome that, Klein developed a multidimensional grid for describing sexual orientation. The Klein grid
investigates sexual orientation in the past, the present, and in the idealized future with respect to seven factors
each, for a total of twenty-one values.

attraction to people of a particular gender(male or female). Sexuality is not just for reproduction
purposes; it is way beyond what we think. It defines how we see ourselves and how we relate to other humans we are

The Kinsey scale is the base for any sexual orientation scale widely available now, but there are various
limitations noted in the method over time. Any scale has its own positives and negatives, so the KSOG is
developed to overcome the limitations of the Kinsey scale.
1. The first limitation of the Kinsey scale is that it doesn’t include the possible sexual orientation in a
relationship. It just divides it into straight or gay, but what about a bisexual or asexual person, where
he comes in the graph. This is where a KSOG score; is framed for all types of sexuality.
2. Gender is not Binary. Kinsey scale measures the attraction towards opposite or same-sex or gender as the
person under assessment. It completely excludes the person who comes under the other gender identity than
the usual binary gender.
3. The Kinsey scale doesn’t differentiate the romantic attraction and sexual attraction. But that’s not true;
a particular individual may be romantically attracted towards a particular gender and sexually attracted to the
opposite gender. This kind of relationship is completely ok; KSOG takes this entity into consideration.
KSOG is first introduced by Dr. Fritz Klein in the first edition of the 1978 book “ The Bisexual Option.” The
Klein grid is not a testing tool to examine the sexual identity of a person. It is just a scale to know
where your sexual orientation lies in it. It is a learning tool to help people better understand the nuance and
complexity that make up everyone's sexuality. Let us see how the KSOG works,
KSOG sets a 7 component variable of sexuality,
These variables are measured against three different periods in a person’s lifetime like “Past,”” Present,” and
“Ideal future.”
There are seven questions framed for the sexuality variables; these KSOG items are given a score of 1-7 for the

The Klein Grid is a method to identify a person’s sexual identity, but we should consider that many people
change their orientation over time. Where a person is a today is not necessarily where she or he was in the past --
or, for that matter, where he or she will be or would like to be in the future. So you can take up a Sexual
