Bella Thorne Directs New Film, Launches Charity

Bella Thorne Announces New Directorial Project and Charity Initiative

Los Angeles, CA – April 12, 2025

Actress, writer, and filmmaker Bella Thorne has revealed her latest creative endeavor—an upcoming indie film that she will write, direct, and star in. The multi-hyphenate talent shared the news in an exclusive interview with Variety, describing the project as a 'raw, emotional journey' inspired by her own life experiences.

Titled Fragments, the film is said to explore themes of self-discovery, mental health, and resilience. Thorne, who previously directed the 2023 thriller Saint Clare, expressed her excitement about returning behind the camera. 'This story is deeply personal to me, and I can't wait to bring it to life with an incredible team,' she said.

In addition to her film announcement, Thorne also unveiled a new charity initiative, Art Heals, aimed at providing creative arts therapy to underprivileged youth. 'Art saved me in so many ways, and I want to give that same outlet to kids who need it,' she explained. The program will partner with schools and community centers nationwide, offering free workshops in writing, acting, and visual arts.

Fans and colleagues have flooded social media with support for Thorne’s latest ventures. Production for Fragments is set to begin this summer, with a tentative 2026 release date.
