TheWrap takes a look at Hollywood’s biggest social exhibitionists
TheWrap takes a look at stars who have posted nude selfies.
Miley Cyrus is the queen of nude selfies and the singer will often spark controversy with her raunchy and revealing Instagram posts and outfits. Nine weeks ago, she stripped down for the camera, with fans commenting that the image was pornographic.
The model wished her friend Marisa Matins a happy birthday on Instagram — by posing completely nude behind her husband, John Legend .
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY @MARISAMXO,” Teigen captioned the picture.
With plenty of risque nudes to choose from, Minaj let her hair down in this nude.
Kardashian broke the internet when she posted a nude in March with the caption, “When you’re like I have nothing to wear LOL.” The picture spawned backlash from some, and support from others.
Ratajkowski sure flaunts what she’s got on Instagram, and also posted a nude in support of Kim Kardashian ‘s steamy photo with the reality star herself. Chelsea Handler
Handler set the internet on fire when she posted a topless picture of herself on a horse to fight against Instagram’s nipple policies. Her photo was removed, but she kept uploading it. In February 2015, she also uploaded a picture to Twitter with the caption, “Thanks for having me Twitter.”
In 2013, Rivera posted a bathroom mirror selfie with the caption, “70 is the new 50.” He later removed it but blamed the incident on tequila.
The rapper made headlines in October after Justin Bieber ‘s butt pic with a picture in his briefs.
The “Sorry” singer sure likes to bare his butt on Instagram, once on a tropical vacation in July, and another more recently from a camping trip.
In response to the outrage of Bieber’s butt picture, Chrissy Teigen posted a picture of her husband’s butt to Instagram.
The “American Pie” star likes to post pictures of herself in a bikini, but during her New Year’s vacation in Mexico, Reid posted a picture on Instagram in which she appeared to be completely naked.
The “Genie in a Bottle” singer wanted to get “personal” with her fans, and posted a mirror selfie wearing nothing but a leopard print hat and pink undies.
The singer stripped down for their Instagram in October, captioning the image, “What’s wrong with being confident? #vanityfair #CONFIDENT”
The model posted several racy pictures on his Snapchat, and this one was posted to his Instagram as well.
”Family Meeting“ will be available on the streamer ”soon“
Bluey "Family Meeting" episode (Disney+)
After fan outcry that a third-season episode of Emmy-winning Australian kids show “Bluey” is missing Disney+, the company is “reevaluating” their initial evaluation that the fart-centric episode did not meet Disney Junior’s standards and practices.
A Disney rep told fan site Pirates and Princesses that the episode “will roll out on U.S. platforms soon.”
In the episode, titled “Family Meeting,” mom Chilli determines where dad Bandit is guilty of deliberately “doing a fluffy” or “making a brownie” on Bluey’s face. Bandit later admits that he did indeed fart in his daughter’s face, but not intentionally, saying, “Her face is at bum level. It’s hard not to.”
“Some of the Bluey content did not meet Disney Junior broadcast S&P in place at the time the series was acquired. Now that it is rolling out on other platforms, it is a great opportunity to reevaluate which is what we plan to do,” the spokesperson told the Disney fan site.
It’s not the first time Disney has deemed an episode of the series from Brisbane’s Ludo Studio not fit for U.S. audiences. A season two episode called “Dad Baby,” in which Bandit pretends to give birth, has never been available on Disney+ or Disney Junior, according to Australian site The Guardian. And two episodes that featured the term “ooga booga” were yanked from streaming in 2020 after complaints about the racist connotations. Wiktionary defines it as offensive slang and defines it as “mimicking an unspecific African or Aboriginal Australian language.”
The wildly popular “Bluey,” is an international cult hit that now has an Emmy, a podcast, a hit album and a touring play.
Disney did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment. At press time, “Family Meeting” had not yet been added.
The actor who played the bullying older brother also faces domestic assault charges in Oklahoma

“Home Alone” and “Better Call Saul” actor Devin Ratray, who is already facing domestic assault charges in Oklahoma, has been accused of raping a woman in his New York City apartment in 2017.
According to CNN, a woman named Lisa Smith has come forward with the accusation — and to complain that New York Police Department detectives spent time gathering evidence and interviewing potential witnesses five years ago — and then abandoned the case without action or explanation.
The NYPD repeatedly declined to comment to TheWrap on whether there is an active investigation into Ratray.
Ratray, who played Macaulay Culkin’s “bully” older brother in the first two “Home Alone” movies, has never been charged in the New York case. He did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment, but denied the rape allegation in a phone call to CNN.
He has also pleaded not guilty to 2021 charges that he tried to strangle his then-girlfriend following a fan convention in Oklahoma City last December; he’s due in court in October on one count of domestic assault and battery by strangulation and another count of domestic assault and battery.
According to CNN, Smith re-engaged with NYPD investigators recently after hearing about the Oklahoma case against Ratray.
Smith told CNN that she, her brother and a friend went to Ratray’s Manhattan apartment one night in 2017. After consuming a drink she said Ratray gave her, Smith said she was incapacitated on a couch until the following afternoon and assaulted for an extended period of time.
The woman said she told multiple people, who have corroborated her story to CNN. She said she filed a police report a few weeks later, and was interviewed by a detective in November 2017. The report, filed in January, showed a box checked indicating that the victim did not want to prosecute.
Smith, by this time living in Utah, subsequently flew back to New York to meet with prosecutors, but was left “sad” and “confused” by the lack of any further communication. A year later, she said she mailed a sweater she believed she was wearing that night, but got no response. “Why would I have met with the DA in the first place, years ago, if I wasn’t willing to press charges?” she told CNN. “This was all very upsetting to me.”
Asked about accusations of mishandling Smith’s case, the NYPD gave this statement: “The NYPD takes sexual assault and rape cases extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so we can perform a comprehensive investigation, and offer support and services to survivors.”
CNN said that it contacted the detective with whom Smith was corresponding, but the detective had no comment.
Smith said a prosecutor from the city’s sex-crimes unit recently apologized for the way her case was handled, but it still was not clear whether an investigation into Ratray was active, dormant or remained closed.
Harper Lambert contributed to this report.
One accusation from 2017 resulted in an acquittal of the Food Network star in May
Celebrity chef Mario Batali has agreed to settle lawsuits from two women stemming from separate claims of sexual assault in Boston, including one accusation that resulted in Batali being acquitted back in May.
“The matters have been resolved to the satisfaction of all parties,” attorneys Eric Baum and Matthew Fogelman, who represent Natalie Tene and Alexandra Brown said in a joint statement to media. “We cannot comment further due to confidentiality obligations.”
Batali’s attorney Anthony Fuller did not immediately return a request for comment.
Tene in 2017 accused Batali of groping her breasts, buttocks and crotch area at a Boston Eataly restaurant, a chain that Batali at one point partially owned, as she was trying to take a selfie. He was then formally charged with indecent assault and battery in 2019. In her testimony for the criminal case, she had previously said she “felt confused and powerless to do anything to stop the celebrity chef.”
Fuller at the time said the assault did not happen and that the accuser has financial incentive to lie about it.
Brown also accused Batali of a similar sexual assault while posing for a selfie tied to an incident in Boston at a different restaurant in 2016.
Batali, a fixture of the Food Network and the ABC cooking and talk show “The Chew,” was publicly accused of sexual misconduct by four women in an Eater article published in December 2017, right at the height of the #MeToo era. The chef said in a statement at the time, “Much of the behavior described does, in fact, match up with ways I have acted. That behavior was wrong and there are no excuses.”
Chelsea Clinton says her mother’s slower reaction time was to blame in the ”heartbreaking“ defeat on the Apple TV+ series ”Gutsy“
Who knows more about the law, former Yale-educated practicing lawyer and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton or Kim Kardashian?
Turns out, the reality TV star, who has been studying to be a lawyer, is more knowledgeable than the one-time First Lady — or just faster on the draw, as we see in a clip from the upcoming Apple TV+ series “Gutsy” shared by People on Wednesday, which you can watch at the top of this post.
Chelsea Clinton, who produces and stars in the docuseries along with her mother, acted as quizmaster. When asked, “Under what circumstances may one use deadly force to defend themselves?” Kim was the first to hit her buzzer and she got the answer right, giving a small, satisfied smirk and shrugging her shoulders at Hillary. The round went to Kim, who scored 11 points to Hillary’s four.
“It was heartbreaking,” admitted Hillary, who says she’s impressed by the fashion mogul’s dedication to helping wrongly convicted prisoners.
Kardashian passed the “baby bar” exam on her third try after apprenticing at a law firm in San Francisco, and Hillary praised her for her determination, saying, “She worked so hard (on the bar) and persevered.”
Although, Hillary added, “I think Kim has an unfair advantage.”
Chelsea responded, “Kim has studied more recently than you,” but also said of her mother, “”I think she just needs to work on her reaction time. Sometimes, I could see my mom knew what the answer was, but she wouldn’t hit the buzzer in time.”
As Hillary told People , “[Kim]’s very self-aware that her celebrity can make a difference positively, and where it may make a negative difference. She never wants to make a negative difference, so being judicious and thoughtful about when and where and how she engages was really impressive to us. I want, even beyond this series, to do whatever I can to help her in that work.”
Among Kardashian’s legal projects are the 2020 Oxygen documentary, “ The Justice Project ,” and helping death row prisoners like Julius Jones have their sentences commuted to life.
All eight episodes of “Gutsy” premiere on Apple TV+ Sept. 9. The series from the Clintions’ HiddenLight Productions studio is based on their bestselling 2019 “The Book of Gutsy Women.”
Reiss will move to executive produce ”Meet The Press Reports“
David P. Gelles will replace John Reiss as executive producer for NBC’s “Meet The Press” as Reiss moves into the role of executive producer for “Meet The Press Reports.”
Reiss, who launched “Meet The Press Reports” with NBC News political director Chuck Todd in 2020, will transition to executive produce the streaming series after service as executive producer on “Meet The Press” for eight years.
Gelles will join NBC News to executive produce “Meet The Press” on Sept. 1 in a move from CNN, where he recently led the creation and development of four CNN+ shows, including “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace,” “The Newscast with Wolf Blitzer,” “The Source with Kasie Hunt” and “Jake Tapper’s Book Club.”
Launching its fifth season this fall, “Meet The Press Reports” takes a deep-dive into a pressing political for an hour each week in its six-to-eight-episode seasons. During his time at “Meet The Press,” Reiss has developed the Sunday broadcast’s reach to include “Meet The Press Daily” on MSNBC, a weekly podcast, an annual film festival and “Meet The Press Reports.”
“In three decades covering politics, it’s hard to pick a more turbulent period than the last eight years. So all I can say is, thank goodness we had John Reiss,” Todd said about Reiss. “I can’t imagine a steadier partner to have had on Sundays over during this tumultuous period of politics. John’s sixth sense for what makes a good news broadcast, and an unflappable devotion he has to good storytelling, have kept us a step ahead of our peers for six years now. John is a producer’s producer and a storyteller at heart, I can’t wait to see where he takes ‘Meet the Press Reports.’”
“I do want to say I’m forever grateful to Chuck, my partner in this journey, for making me an offer I couldn’t refuse,” Reiss said in a memo to the “Meet The Press” team. “It’s been an honor, my friend, and it’s been a privilege working with all of you. And the best part? The best part is there’s more to come.”
Gelles will return to NBC News, where he previously served as a producer for “Today” from 2006 to 2011 and produced Brian Williams’ “Rock Center” from 2011 to 2013 before joining CNN.
“David intuitively understands the core of what we do at ‘Meet the Press,’ which is not to simply put on a good show every Sunday,” Todd said about Gelles’ return to NBC News. “It’s to put on a show that gets to the crux of our political reality and unpacks its relevance on our viewers’ lives in a way that nobody else can. It’s a vision we all share here and I’m excited to have David at the helm of the Sunday broadcast as we enter a consequential midterm season and beyond.”
TheWrap sits down for a spoiler-filled chat with the killer at the center of the Hulu series’ second season
Spoiler alert: This article discusses the entirety of the “Only Murders in the Building” Season 2 finale, “I Know Who Did It.”
What motivates someone like Poppy (Adina Verson), fka Becky, Cinda Canning’s (Tina Fey) oft-belittled assistant, to mastermind a murder worthy of not one, but two true crime podcasts? According to the “Only Murders in the Building” star themself, a “deep-seated need” for recognition, if not overt notoriety.
In the Season 2 finale of the Hulu dramedy hit, viewers get a glimpse into Poppy’s internal life and machinations, peeling back the layers of what she — along with Michael Rapaport’s crooked cop Det. Kreps — would have to gain in killing former Arconia board president Bunny Folger (Jayne Houdyshell). Before manufacturing her disappearance and faking her murder in a small town in Oklahoma, Becky-slash-Poppy was glossed over in every aspect of her life; in Verson’s words, she was not being recognized for being a smart woman, caring daughter or “really existing at all.”
“Once she plotted her escape, I think that that gave her a lot of confidence as to how smart she is and how she can play everybody,” the nonbinary actor told TheWrap in an interview. “I think that she’s kind of incredible, but she’s still not getting any recognition because it’s all in secrecy. This deep-seated need that she has to be recognized just builds and builds and builds. And at the same time she’s living in this veil of secrecy that I think allows her to feel like she can get away with anything, and that morality maybe no longer applies to her.”
Going into Season 2, Verson said they were aware from the get-go that their character would be the killer, having sat down with executive producers Jess Rosenthal and John Hoffman over Zoom.
“They told me my trajectory for the season, and I was thrilled-slash-terrified,” Verson said. “I didn’t get any scripts, but they gave me a general overview. And then I was shocked to find out that when I got the set I was the only person who knew.”
As she pictured it, Poppy is a “really good liar,” leading the actor to play the role close to their vest throughout the duration of the season: “I decided it was best to just play it episode-by-episode for what’s on the page and let the writing kind of plant the seeds. They did a pretty good job of keeping her out of your thoughts.”
In the finale, “I Know Who Did It,” the show capitalized on the “disorienting” nature of its sophomore installment, which resulted in an Agatha Christie-inspired denouement. With plenty of twists and turns specifically designed to “press Poppy’s buttons,” Episode 10’s killer reveal party eventually cracked the criminal mastermind’s mousey exterior.
“As Poppy, to see that this whole thing was just to f— with her, to get her to break, is humiliating,” Verson said. “For somebody who is a serious control freak, as she’s literally puppeteering her reality, that’s gotta be terrifying. What she did is inexcusable and unforgivable, but I still feel bad for her that at the end of the day, Cinda knew that that is what breaks Poppy and that’s how she treats her every day.”
Despite her actions, Verson doesn’t view Poppy as expressly evil. In a way, they said, Poppy’s journey mimics Bunny’s: The connective tissue between their stories — victim and perpetrator — is the “tragedy of unkindness” that reaped their respective ends.
“I don’t personally believe that a 100% villain is actually anything that exists,” Verson explained. “So I did like that [the writers] have sympathy for her, which is crazy to have sympathy for someone who stabbed somebody eight times. I think anybody that is going to do something so horrific has been driven to it, for some reason or another — not to say that that excuses it at all.”
As for how Kreps fits into the picture, Verson views the relationship as Poppy “using him to her benefit.” They added, “I think that she originally saw him as a way to e
