this doll is so much nicer in person her red hair is so beautyful in person the detail on her gown is simply amazing.i wanted this doll when it was first realesed and didnt have the money at the time she sold out so fast. to make a long story short i was so pleased to add her to my collection. i don't know what else to say except if your not sure she is so nice in person. god bless hope this was helpful

This is one of the most beautiful collector's dolls I have ever seen, by Bob Mackie, of course...the detailing in the costume is exquisite, a mini work of art.....gorgeous!!!

The Radiant Redhead is the first in Bob Mackie's Red Carpet Collection is dated 2001. This lovely lady is first edition quality. Although I am not sure which glamorous woman was the inspiration, she reminds me of Rita Hayworth. She wears a lavish gown with a bare midriff. It reveals her navel in her perfect muscular torso. The white long sleeved, high neck masterpiece is edged in gold braid and exquisite green and gold embroidery and beads. She also wears gold cord platform shoes; these stay on better than the little heels or flats of most dolls. In the crook of her arm, she carries a white faux fur wrap. She could be walking into the Academy Awards, or stepping from a limousine onto a Paris runway. She comes with a stand. Though most collectors do not like to take their dolls out of the boxes, the full pleasure they bring is in displaying them -- I suggest a glass cabinet for protection. Her lips and nails wear warm deep red that accents her fair skin. Her eye shadow is in shades of brown and greens, and her eyes are green and flirty. Her thick red hair curls onto her shoulders. Her expression is sultry -- a woman who knows she is beautiful and powerful. Bob Mackie's creations are among the most highly sought after collectibles. They sell well on the secondary market because, I think, once you own a Bob Mackie doll you must own more. Fun -- gazing at an exquisite piece of artwork is pure pleasure. I actually have this doll. She is fantastic. Her face is delicate, gorgeous. The beadwork and embroidery are pure Bob Mackie. Now I want to own all of his.

Mackie's are for collector's, and Radiant Redhead is exquisite. She is on display in my china cabinet, and I have never regretted the money I spent on her.
