The ‘Vanderpump Rules’ vixen talks feeling her sexiest, being on reality TV, and what’s next.
After extending her hand to a friend in an uncomfortable situation, Ariana Madix found herself in the middle of drama she was hoping to avoid. “At the time Vanderpump Rules was created, I was working at Villa Blanca in Beverly Hills,” she told Maxim. “Scheana and I were great friends and when she was iced out by the girls at SUR, she urged me to ask Lisa if I could begin working there as well.”
The bar in-question, SUR, is the focal point for all the makeups, breakups, and other absurd debauchery that goes down on Vanderpump Rules, Bravo’s addicting reality series that’s been around for four seasons. Though most reality shows are at fault when it comes to their authenticity, Ariana insists that what you see is exactly what you get for this show. “The relationships, friendships, and drama are all real and I think that’s a unique quality Vanderpump Rules possesses,” she said. “It’s an aspect that makes the show amazing to watch and painful to film at times.”
Despite being attached to the life of unscripted television, this blonde bombshell is fully prepared to take the entertainment industry by storm. The up-and-comer’s experience in the comedy realm, combined with her growing resumé (including episodes of Dads , Anger Management , and four feature films) has proven she’s way more than just a gorgeous face. Her life-changing role just hasn’t been written yet.
“I’ve spent my whole life dreaming of being Grace Kelly or Brigitte Bardot, but my favorite fictional characters lean more towards Furiosa , Maggie from The Walking Dead , or Regina George . Roll all of that together, put it on horseback, throw in some laughs and beautiful cinematography and you have a confusing impression of my dream role. Wait. Can I also have a musical number? In outer space?”
Beautiful and a sense of humor. What more can you ask for?
Ariana spoke with Maxim about not giving a fuck, a good ‘ol Coors Light, and feeling her sexiest.
1. What is your favorite curse word to use? ‘Fuck.’ It knows no bounds. It’s positive and negative, it’s exuberant, and it’s fun.
2. What do you wear to feel your sexiest? Nothing on top and those little shorts underwear. It’s what I usually sleep in and I feel sexiest when I wake up in the morning.
3. Do you have a go-to drink of choice? I like good wine and spicy margaritas , but on any given day, I’m probably drinking a Coors Light. I’m fancy like that.
4. What would you say is your favorite part of your body? My butt or my stomach.
5. How can a guy get your attention? Don’t give too many fucks, make me laugh, be chill and kind.
6. Do you have any girl crushes right now? I have a serious crush on every single one of my girl friends, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Amy Poehler , and Stella Maxwell. Britney is less of a crush, more idol worship.
7. Describe your ideal date. Let’s get together with a couple of your friends and a couple of mine (not actual couples) for some casual food and drinks and then go off on our own adventure. Wherever the mood takes us. I like a plan with flexibility.
8. If you had to pick a favorite food, what would it be? I try new foods as much as I possibly can and the newest is usually the current favorite. I had fried green tomato eggs Benedict the other morning and I was in hangover heaven . Put hot sauce on anything and I’m in.
9. What’s your opinion on your man’s style or how he dresses? He can wear whatever the hell he likes. If you feel good, you look good. Just no body parts hanging out, please.
10. So what’s next for you? I’m branching out. I love acting and I want to continue, but it’s time to create my own material. I’m going to be writing and producing, podcasting , and I’m looking to start showing horses again. Giddy up.

Ariana Madix wants to make it clear to everyone that she’s not pregnant. The Vanderpump Rules star shared an unusual photo over the weekend. The timing made it even more interesting. Ariana posted a photo of her belly on her Instagram Stories. Fans quickly assumed she was pregnant.
But as previous episodes of the Bravo series has shown, Ariana has no interest in having children. She’s in a long-term relationship with Tom Sandoval. While he would probably love to join the VPR baby boom, she’s content with where they’re at. The self-aware reality star claimed she was only “starving for attention.”
Ariana Madix posted an interesting photo to her Instagram Stories. On Saturday, September 26, she shared a mirror selfie. In the photo, Ariana held her belly as she rocked a black bra and plaid pants. She wrote on the photo that she’s “not pregnant” she’s “just bloated and starved for attention.”
Apparently, the photo didn’t go over well with Ariana’s followers. Some of them claimed she was throwing shade at her pregnant Pump Rules co-stars. As fans know, Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor announced they’re having a baby. Earlier this month, Lala Kent and Randall Emmett shared their baby news on their joint podcast.
Ariana followed up with another post on Instagram Stories in order to clear the air. She even threw a few jokes in.
“Some of y’all are completely devoid of humor and think everything is ‘shade’ but I guess I got that attention I was desperate for anyway,” Ariana said. “BTW it’s a bean and cheese burrito and Del Taco is the father.”
Interestingly enough, Ariana’s post came after Brittany and Jax’s gender reveal celebration. The couple is expecting a baby boy. On Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules , Jax and Sandoval’s friendship crumbled. Ariana and Sandoval fought with Jax and Brittany during the virtual reunion. Was she poking fun at them?
Earlier this year, the couple welcomed a new member to their family. Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval adopted a dog and couldn’t wait to share the news with their fans. They even registered an Instagram account dedicated to their fur baby . But Ariana doesn’t want to take the next step in their relationship.
In December 2018, she previously told Us Weekly that she and Sandoval will “probably never” get engaged. That same year, Sandoval told the outlet that he’s open to adopting a child. But he would have to get Ariana on board.
“There are so many times I’ve said that I would never do this I never want this, but I’ve changed my mind,” he explained. “I’m not saying that I definitely have to have kids. I mean, we could possibly adopt.”
Ariana and Sandoval have been dating for six years. While Sandoval wants to get married and have kids, Ariana doesn’t feel the same.
