Angels Soar Past Cardinals in High-Scoring Thriller

Anaheim, CA — June 10, 2024 — In a game that had fans on the edge of their seats, the Los Angeles Angels outslugged the St. Louis Cardinals in a 9-7 victory at Angel Stadium last night. The matchup, featuring explosive offense and late-inning drama, kept the crowd roaring until the final out.

Offensive Fireworks Early
The Angels wasted no time getting on the board, with Mike Trout launching a two-run homer in the first inning off Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas. The Cardinals responded quickly, as Paul Goldschmidt smashed a three-run shot in the third to take a brief lead.

The back-and-forth continued, with the Angels reclaiming the advantage in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a two-RBI double from Taylor Ward.
