There is someone for everyone is the motto.. Looks like born star Abella Anderson has found a man that loves her for her movies. Would you say f her past and wife her?
(Source) NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – The Christopher Columbus Family Academy in New Haven is a beautiful facility that protesters say bears an ugly name.
Community leaders and parents want Christopher Columbus’ name stripped off and a new name erected.
They told News 8 that the reason is what they call Columbus’ violent history as a colonizer and murderer of indigenous people who were already here when Columbus arrived.
Of course, not everyone agrees with that assessment.
“We’re demanding that the school change the name,” stated Vanessa Suarez of New Haven.
“Especially a school that’s in the Latino community. We want the name changed to better represent the community that lives around that school, the kids who have to go to that school,” added Norman Clement, also of New Haven.
News 8’s Mario Boone spoke with School Board President Darnell Goldson who said several members of the Board of Education are considering a name change, but no one has made an official request to start the process.
So it appears some community members have their panties in a bunch because a local school is named after Christopher Columbus. They must be upset with Christopher never offering wine to the guests on his vessels. Or maybe it has something to do with him playing a role in the mass murder of American indigenous peoples. I don’t know which one it is man, history is hard! We’re not here to get involved in politicking, but if these protesters get their wish and the school gets named after someone that better represents the community, here are some suggestions:
Lisa Lampanelli Family Academy: While not Hispanic like many of the community members, she did grow up in Trumbull and knows how to talk to Latinos, LBGTQ, and many other marginalized groups. Here’s a sample:
Abella Anderson Family Academy: Abella is not from Connecticut, but she checks off many of the boxes the protesters are demanding. She’s Latina, open about her sexuality, and has surely helped boys in New Haven get through puberty. To school officials who think Abella Anderson is too risqué for serious consideration, it should be noted that she’s retired from shooting explicit hardcore scenes. Nothing would curb school absenteeism more than photos of Abella plastered in the cafeteria. NSFW for those of you intrigued with her nomination.
Michael Bruce Ross Family Academy: Without a doubt, Michael is the most controversial suggestion on our list of names. For those not familiar, Michael Bruce Ross murdered eight women in CT and NY from 1981-1984. He’s the only person to be executed in CT (2005). While he’s a long shot, his backers, of which I have to believe there are few, will point out he’s responsible for the deaths of far fewer people than Christopher Columbus. Now that’s progress.
Mario Boone Family Academy: Channel 8 news reporter Mario Boone (the guy on the street in the video above) has left quite an impression on CT residents over the past year. In fact, one of After Time Expires first blogs was dedicated to his glasses . Click on the hyperlink and it will lay out the case (or not) for why the school should be named after him. For those of you that are lazy and/or refuse to give us another click, Mario is black, fashion forward, and always at the scene of crimes. Attributes like those will go a long way with protesters demanding change.
Ryan Fish Family Academy: Ryan was a late submission to the list of potential names. He’s been on the local news all month after it came to light that he was running a Fight Club in his classroom. Parents will bemoan the fact that he’s only a substitute teacher and not old enough to rent a car, but in Ryan’s defense, his mantra that actions speak louder than words would make for a great school slogan. In addition, a substitute’s most important trait is having a good taste in movies and there aren’t many films better than Fight Club . Does Ryan represent the Latino community? Hard to make that case when you look like a member of the Hitler Youth:

After an adult film actor in California unknowingly infected two men with HIV because the virus went undetected by lab tests, a new report by the Center for Disease Control calls for greater preventative measures.
The 25-year-old male was diagnosed with HIV just 22 days after he first tested negative. During this time, he had unprotected sex with a total of 12 male performers, and five other men outside of work.
The CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report published on Friday, stated: 'Adult film performers and production companies...should be aware that testing alone is not sufficient to prevent HIV transmission.'
The report comes just before a California state board will hold a vote on February 18 to decide whether condoms should be required on set.

The 25-year-old was infected with HIV by a partner outside of work in 2014. Because it can take up to 10 days before the virus can be detected, his tests came back negative.
Ten days later, he had a rash, fever and sore throat. The symptoms lasted six days, and it took another six days before lab tests came back positive.
During this time, he transmitted the virus to two of his 17 partners.
California, home to the multibillion-dollar porn industry, has long been embroiled in a controversial debate over safe sex practices on set.
In addition to the February 18 vote, the California Safer Sex in the Adult Film Industry Act will appear on ballots in November.
The law would force producers to cover the cost of testing, vaccinations and monitoring. It would also allow any resident in the state to sue if the regulations are not being enforced.
Michael Weinstein, president of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, said the law would have a positive trickle-down effect.
He said: 'Porn is the primary means of sex education that young people get, and it's had a very negative impact on the promotion of safer sex.'
Because it can take up to 10 days before the virus can be detected the CDC warned: 'Adult film performers and production companies...should be aware that testing alone is not sufficient to prevent HIV transmission='
The porn industry disagrees, arguing that its own regulatory system of testing actors every 14 days is sufficient.
Actors are supposed to turn up on set with their results, and co-stars can refuse to work with an individual if they failed to get tested, or if the results came back positive for STIs.
Many actors have spoken up against the mandatory use of condom. They say because filming can last for hours on end, this form of protection can cause uncomfortable chafing or friction burns for both men and women.
In 2004, when two porn stars contracted HIV, most of the major production companies agreed to shut down for 60 days to prevent the virus from spreading.
Eric Paul Leue, the executive director of the Free Speech Coalition which represents pornography producers, said that biweekly HIV tests have successfully prevented outbreaks in more than a decade.
Instead of condoms, he supports the widespread use of a prophylactic drug called Truvada that can lower the risks for HIV-negative porn actors.
The CDC report notes that these drugs have to be taken daily, making regulations even more difficult.
