Fox in the Stables tearooms is named so as the proprietor’s name is Robert Fox and the tearooms are situated in what used to be homes for 4 shire horses.
What will your experience be at Fox in the Stables? – As well as being open 7 days a week, the tea rooms specialises in vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free delights! There are actually 4 menus, a standard, a vegetarian a gluten-free and a vegan.
Just behind the Tea Rooms are the animlas. Two Goats Bert and Fred, some chicjkens and bantams and some cute guinea pigs. If Rob is not too busy you might be able to help him feed them ‘sometimes’…
Petersfield Village is a countryside venue. We therefore ask our visitors to respect the environment and leave and enter quietly and slowly at all times – thank you.

After a walk round the antiques hood to pop in to the tea room. Lovely food and welcoming service awaited
So refreshing to visit this wonderful new tearoom - great to have a nice choice of food in this lovely countryside environment. Have eaten here a lot and will definitely continue to - keep up the good work.
Have called here quite a few times. But have noticed the food isn’t as good as previous visits. Also for what you get the prices seem quite OTT.
Even more expensive than certain garden centres and that’s saying something.
Need to offer better quality food... to justify prices. More
Excellent food, friendly staff, and dog friendly yay, went last Saturday, my sister went on the Monday, we will all go back , very soon .
Lovely tea rooms, fantastic food. Caters for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free customers. A whole menu for each. Lovely setting, welcoming staff. We tried a slice of the gluten free Victoria sponge cake and vegan bakewell, they were delicious as were the paninis! Nice seating... area outside and you can go and see some animals. Well worth a visit, we will be back! More

Had a perfect lunch with great staff and superb surroundings
I have visited the fox in the stables multiple times since discovering it and I love it. I have been with friends, with my husband and with my children. We are a mix of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free, so finding somewhere we can all... eat is sometimes difficult.
The setting is lovely, with the owner having rescued animals which are outside for you to go and see (my children love the goats and guinea pigs!).
The staff are friendly, and there’s a very lovely atmosphere here.
My children often ask to go and it’s lovely to know you are supporting an independent setting. More
Lovely decor as well as the coffee and the vegan sandwich. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.
We will definitely be visiting again.

I visited this tea Room recently with my family and was thrilled to find such a relaxing place to enjoy afternoon tea! Everything is decorated beautifully and your tea is served in beautiful bone China tea cups. Staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. If... you want somewhere to go for a nice relaxing atmosphere then this place is well worth a visit. Food was lovely, and a good selection of quality cakes on offer. Also offers a full Vegan menu. We will definitely be back! More
