A man gasps awake in a hospital bed, his body weak, his mind foggy. His name is Daniel Hayes, a paramedic who was in a coma after a car crash—just before the world ended. Unlike Jim from the original outbreak, Daniel wasn’t infected. But he wasn’t immune either. He was… something else.

As he staggers through the empty halls, he finds messages scrawled in blood: 'THEY SEE IN THE DARK' and 'DON’T TRUST THE CURE.'

Chapter 2: The New Strain
Daniel soon discovers that the Rage Virus has mutated. The infected are faster, more cunning—some even seem to hunt in packs. But worse, a shadowy military faction has emerged, capturing survivors for experiments. They claim they’ve found a cure, but their methods are brutal.

Daniel meets Elena, a virologist who reveals the truth: the 'cure' doesn’t stop the infection—it controls it. The military is turning people into obedient, rage-filled soldiers.

Chapter 3: The Choice
With the infected closing in and the military hunting them, Daniel and Elena must decide: do they flee to a rumored safe zone in Scotland, or do they destroy the research before it’s weaponized?

As they fight through hordes of the infected and evade ruthless soldiers, Daniel starts experiencing blackouts—moments where he feels hungry for violence. Elena fears he’s been exposed to a new airborne strain.

Chapter 4: The Final Stand
In a desperate last move, they storm the military base. Elena uploads the research to a global emergency broadcast, exposing the truth. But as Daniel fights the commanding officer, he feels the Rage taking over.

In his last moments of clarity, he triggers the base’s self-destruct sequence. The explosion lights up the night sky as Elena escapes, carrying the hope of a cure—and the warning of what happens when humanity plays god.

Epilogue
28 days later…

A new broadcast crackles over the radio. A woman’s voice: 'If anyone can hear this… the virus is evolving. But so are we.'

The screen cuts to static. Somewhere in the ruins, a pair of glowing red eyes blink open in the dark.
