WoW Item Upgrades
More commonly referred to as "upping"--are an enchantment and item that can be applied to armor and weapons to boost their effectiveness. These upgrade item s increase the gauge of an item by a certain number of points. Their costs scale depending on their rarity.
A perfectly formed version of this armor is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community due to its ability to minimize the amount of damage a weapon can cause.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are a vital part of the equipment crafting process. Upgrades can be used to improve an item's stats or enhance its strength, or even provide an additional benefit. They can also alter the item's appearance. While certain upgrades are universal, other are governed by specific rules for applying to weapons or armor. The wrong upgrade can ruin a weapon that was otherwise fantastic, and even make it unusable.
The general rule is that you can only upgrade a piece of equipment to the standard of the most advanced gear within its category. This means that you can only upgrade body armors, helms, gloves and shields to the same level as their top-of-the-line counterparts. Weapons however can be upgraded to the level of a sword. However, this won't increase the weapon's damage output and can decrease its trade value.
To upgrade an item you must spend flightstones and crests. The amount of both depend on the level of the item and slot. For instance upgrading a sword will cost more flightstones than upgrading bracers or a cloak. You may also get discounts on the number of flightstones or crests required to upgrade an item.
The diamond-shaped indicator on the item is filled when it is upgraded. Each step raises the item's Tier level by one-third. The highest Tier level is Tier 3. Depending on the item, it may require a different amount of upgrades to reach this level. It is crucial to remember that any procedures that might mount a disk should not be run during an upgrade. Also, you must ensure that the disk you're upgrading is not being used as an operating system drive.
Enchantment is a function that allows you to transform white or Common items into rare or blue items. It can be done at Eleanor's enchantment shop in the Capital District. This method does not add gem or rune slots to the equipment, however, it alters the size of the equipment. It increases the size of equipment by the size of a creature 2 categories smaller. For example the Blaster Pistol is deemed Small, whereas a Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be utilized on any type of equipment. This includes weapons, armor and trinkets. The upgrade components are typically random drops, but they may also be obtained from completing Side Quests. Universal upgrades can be either temporary or permanent, and they can be combined with Power Ups. They can be branching or linear.
Universal Upgrades begin when "internal technology" can provide sentient beings new capabilities they are unlikely to develop in natural ways. Examples of internal technology are implants or prostheses. This type of upgrade differs from medical internal technology which aims to restore the natural capabilities. It is the start of a process that will transform civilizations in a fundamental way. The universal upgrade may be an extended and complicated process. The process can be divided in two categories one of complete success and the other of partial failure.
This is similar to way resort upgrades work at Disney or Universal. In the case of WDW these upgrades are usually due to operational needs like overbooking or room availability. In the case of Universal this could be to relocate guests to another resort that is open. This is not meant as a sarcastic comment, but in the current climate it could be difficult to avoid.
Universal upgrades can be used on any kind of gear. They can also be applied to multiple items at a time. They are therefore more flexible than any other upgrade type. This flexibility can be a problem when upgrading items on the same gear route. It will increase the levels of each of the pieces on the path.
Before upgrading, it's important to stop PowerShell Universal and delete any existing application files. After that, you can install the new files using the Get-ChildItem-Recurse or Unblock-File commands. It is also recommended to perform a basic validation against your PSU server to ensure that it functions correctly.
Jewels

Jewels can be added to armor, weapons or other items. The reagents and gems that are used to make them can give different stat bonuses and secondary effects. They are found in Golden Chests and Rift Incursions. They can be purchased from a Master craftsman for gold or Karma. Jewels can also be made on a jewelry table with one gem and five of the same type of ingredients to create a jewel of greater or lesser tier. This process is similar to upgrading a gemstone with the use of a gemcrafting table.
Jewel Tiers are determined by the number of modifiers they possess. Higher-tier jewels have more modifiers than lower-tier ones. The primary effect is determined by a jewel's tier, while the secondary effect is random. Players can make use of luck potions to increase their chances of receiving more beneficial secondary effects.
Jewels can be incorporated into items that have sockets that match similar to other upgrade components. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both boost strength, but a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's strong attacks. Jewels can be found in all armor, weapon and accessory slots. They also work with some exotic trinkets, or trinkets of lower rarity that require slots.
Like other DM mechanics, gems help to keep items feeling special to their owners. By offering a variety of different upgrade options gems let players customize their equipment and find the best combination for them. They can upgrade their equipment by purchasing new gems if they feel that the initial set is no longer suitable.
Requirements
WoW's item upgrades allow players to increase the item levels of equipment set pieces, weapons and trinkets beyond their current item level from specific Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor sources. These upgrades boost the stats of the base item, and some even have special effects (such as Dolphin's Grace, which allows players to feel like dolphins when they swim). These upgrades can be obtained by upgrading items or reclaiming them. Different items drop different upgrade components.
The process of upgrading can be somewhat complicated, but it's simple. Firstly, the player selects the item they want to upgrade and then click the Upgrade button. A window will open with the various upgrades available for this item. The window will show the upgrade level, the upgrade type bonus (such a Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. The upgrade level is displayed in a bar at the top of the screen, and the bonus type for upgrades is displayed below it.
The player will need to bring the item to the upgrader, who will then explain the process of upgrading the item. The player is then required to provide the correct currency and, if needed additional materials. These requirements are based on the item level and the weapon's requirements are typically higher requirements than armor.
Many upgrade recipes include a list of 'Acceptable Material in addition to the components required. This list contains the other upgrade components that can be used to upgrade an item. It also has an indicator that tells you whether or not the item has an assured boost. This is important to know because the value of an upgraded item may differ significantly based on the extras it has, with well rolling gear much more valuable than those that are not upgraded.
For the kinds of upgrades that require crests or valorstones, these will be listed in a separate list below the main list. The crests and valorstones needed depend on the item level that is required, with weapon upgrades requiring the most Valorstones.
