It can also clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combinations.
3. Roomba X40 from iRobot
This mop and vacuum combination is sleek and has a circular design that appears much like a Roomba model than the bulky models of the rivals. It's among our most attractive looking robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is its most advanced, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).
It's the only robot vacuum/mop that has an exemplary 10/10 in our testing thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, including a camera, structured light system, and multiple lasers. It's also a bit expensive, but it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are similarly capable and more attractive. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's very capable, but it will cost you more and create more noise.
4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot mop and vacuum. It comes with a variety of advanced features that help you forget your chores. Like Ecovacs range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that takes care of both vacuuming and mopping, with a multifunction dock that automatically empty the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank, cleans and dry its mop pads.
The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floorplans and identify obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its top competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time hazards detection, though this wasn't completely foolproof in our tests, and was often confused with obstructions or power cords.
Its vacuum has a high maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to get the job done. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates how hard the vacuum works and also alters the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home according to how dirty they are.
